  1. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Well after finally getting someone prepared to do the remap on my CF2 with Jim K Cams and Cayenne Throttle body have hit hurdle after hurdle again. Makes you question even doing upgrades sometimes. Thought I was almost at the end of the mission. With lots of planning for first Road trip have...
  2. Alfa 75, RZ, SZ
My 75 is now back on the road. Bought end of last year but needed a few jobs doing. New propshaft donuts, new radiator, new CSC exhaust (thanks to Uncle Munkle). Front and rear bumpers off, painted and refitted. Still a few little bits to do but running well. Driving down to Le Mans next month...

What a (anti)climax to the race! 23 hours 57 minutes and the engine misbehaves when you are comfortably in the lead. Still it handed an undeserved podium to Audi to maintain their record.
  4. General Motoring Discussion
Well it's getting near that time again, Le Mans is calling. I usually go over mid week, stay for the race and then stay over for the classic, however, with the fuel shortage due to French industrial action my plans going astray. Anybody going over and what are your fuel plans?
  5. Alfa 159, Brera & Spider
So I crawled under the 159 this afternoon to change the oil on the Alfa and was faced with the 17 bolts holding in the undertray. Given it was 34 degrees I thought that there must be an easier way to drop the oil out than having to remove the tray every time. So, given a few minutes, and about...
  6. General Motoring Discussion
Afternoon all Apologies if this isn't the right forum for this topic, as a newbie I'm still finding my way around. I’m interested in Alfa owners’ opinions on an idea the old man and I had whilst watching Le Mans this year. Dad’s got a little place just south of the track, about a 35 minute...
  7. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
On my way back from Le Mans I exchanged waves with a nice looking Cup in the traffic jam that the French like to call Rouen. I saw it again later at the Peage but it was quite a long way behind me in the queue so I didn't catch the whole of the registration number except that it included 02. Who...
  8. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
I've recently noticed that when cruising, a slight adjustment to speed by easing off the accelerator gives can give me a sharp drop in throttle as if I had completely removed my foot suddenly from the accelerator. Trying to replicate that on the driveway, I have found that I can ease the car up...
  9. International Motor Sport
I've been watching this for the first time in a few years. Eurosports commentary is terrible though. Really unprofessional at best. At times it sounds as if they've pulled a couple guys in off the street. Some nice looking motors though. Reckon we'll ever see an 8C at Le Mans?

I have just booked it with a few mates who have gone for the last couple of years, it will be my first time. We will be camping on the speed chills campsite, last year my lot were the envy of the campsite because they went in a big transit van, bought their own generator, fridge, sound system...
  13. The Classic Alfa Romeos
Just come back from le mans 800 miles round trip only one problem but other than that it was a great trip and surprisingly comfortable 2 up and fully loaded. Ps are spiders of this age ever going to go up in price because they always turn heads.

I am heading south on Wed via Autolusso for an overnight stop at Maidstone then an early ferry on Thurs morning for the annual dash to Le Mans. Anybody else making the trip and if so in what car? 17. International Motor Sport
Round 1 12 hours of Sebring This is the last time, in the foreseeable future, that Le Mans spec. cars will race at this circuit in this configuration and this would account for Audi's appearance, despite this not being a round of the World Endurance Championship and also not entering any cars...
