  1. Alfa Giulia
These cars are magic in an over-steer! Of course, we can't induce a tail slide because the Alfa engineers have decreed that it shall not be so (it's sad but also I'm certain I would have binned mine 3 or 4 times already without it) However, out of the blue I hit a slippery bit of road on a...

  3. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi all, Well here we go again... After 2 1/2 years away from Alfa Ownership I have finally returned to the marque. (There was a brief dabble with a T/S GTV; but that doesn't count for me!). Today I have secured a deal on a '05 GT 3.2. Should be delivered tomorrow and will have pride of...
  4. Alfa 164 & 166 When picking up a tow bar for the 166 I noticed this number on the odometer. ..

  6. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi Guys, well the sage continues... Now I found a small but definite leak on the bottom of the radiotor where the aluminum core is mated on the plastic sides. Is there a cheap but reasonable fix to this other than changing it? p.s. are the jtd radiators all identical? mine is a 16v
  7. Yorkshire
Just collected the Saab alloys from these guys today and they've done a fabulous job of repairing them and powder coating them. Well impressed and very reasonable at £ 216 including fitting new tyres and balanced
  8. Introduce Yourself
I have just sold my lovely little Mini Cooper S due to an impending arrival at the end of the year, so decided that as we need a family car I would go for an Alfa 159. Infinitely better than a BMW I had before, sensible does not have to be dull. Brilliant car
  9. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Well here goes... the last daily driver, fiat stilo jtd, has died! I now use the GT everyday instead of once or twice a week. Whilst the mileage will go up I brought the car to enjoy it so I'm going to make the most of it :) The fuel is an obvious concern, but not taxing, insuring and running...
  10. General Alfa Discussion
i work on the helimed desk on a rota basis. until recently we were told that we couldnt go out on a helicopter as we were not essential staff (yet they would allow tv cameras, etc) I've found out that last week they've changed their policy and it now means i can go out as an observer a few...
  11. Alfa 164 & 166
Evening, It is my turn for the central locking to play up, i have read many threads and am proposing the following; Rear offside door has not worked for years, neither by key or remote - guessing motor - the rears are slaves so this should not effect the fronts ? Now i get the lock and then...
  12. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
I was driving home from work today in my new german coupe the one that replaced my GT!! And i feel in a position to now from the other side as it were to actually describe what i miss and what made the GT so dam special. Alfa have actually managed to make something so special with the GT...

  15. North West
I'd had my car remapped by Angel a few weeks ago, and after quite a short period of time, the harshness of the map was beginning to annoy me, and on top of that, the clutch had started to slip. So, given Alfatune's excellent reputation on here, I gave Gus a call, talked through what it needed...
  16. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
To recount, I had just had my GT fitted with comfort upgrades (Q2 and Koni FSDs). The car was going well until flaming June, 2nd week of Wimbledon. You will remember we had searing heat which saw mid 30s temperatures across U.K. I have just sprinted up the A40 hill on my way home from work...
  17. Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Had a visit from Nigel @ Angel recently and he was kind enough to apply some magic to my 159ti. Tranformation city - it's night a day the difference. Engine is quieter, pick up so much cleaner and torquier with no drop off. Car picks up in all gears now with very little lag. Many said it before...

having deliberated for years over which brera to buy, i plumped for the s, mainly 'cos the deal was too good to miss. however, over the last few weeks i have been mostly doing low speed, city journeys. the combination of fierce ride and southampton's pot holes had gradually sapped my...
