...but I can't be bothered to scroll through thousands of posts, where I'm sure I've seen this information.
For the QV, can one of you helpful people please tell me:
1. What tyre pressure front and rear is supposed to be in good old fashioned PSI?
2. Is there supposed to be a Quad specific...
Just thought i would ask. My 166 Busso sometimes on start up makes a tapping noise. Goes away after 30/40 seconds and runs great. My mechanic says it's a lazy Tappet and easily replaced. Anybody else had this and was it an easy fix. Also has no affect on the car but just annoys me sometimes
I am not brave enough to open the headlights up to insert halo rings so i need to work around this issue
I bought some halo rings 2x 100mm and 1x 110mm for each side and also bought the outer ring covers
then silicone them inside to make sure they are extra waterproof
then glue to front of...
So I crawled under the 159 this afternoon to change the oil on the Alfa and was faced with the 17 bolts holding in the undertray.
Given it was 34 degrees I thought that there must be an easier way to drop the oil out than having to remove the tray every time.
So, given a few minutes, and about...
So, while I installed new front speakers, and to my horror discovered the previous owner had fitted 3 totally different types and brands of speakers, I discoveres that a tin of silicone spray fits juuuuuust right up in the door and nice and upright to spray that pesky mechanism and cable, quite...
My wipers keep randomly going on strike.
Sometimes when you switch them on it takes them 30s to get going. Sometimes they work straight away, sometimes they dont work at all.
Once they are working, they stay working for the rest of the trip.
Today, they even went on strike half way through a...
The first real problem on my car in quite a few years.
When I switch on the wipers nothing happens. After about 30s suddenly they spring to life.
From then on they are fine, switching on/off as commanded with the stalk.
Anyone with ideas?
Hi.. I have started to notice that when pressing the throttle there seems to be a little travel before the engine connects, maybe a few mil but its quite anoying. Is this just a traite of the car or is there something I can do to tighten it up a bit.. Any thoughts?? Thank you kindly...
I've noticed this a couple of times this week, the fuel gauge seems to stick at such a point that the fuel warning light comes stays on (just below 1/4 tank)
The first time I noticed, the car was 1/2 full and eventually as I drove the needle came up the 1/2 (about 15 mins into the journey)...
My electric rear passenger window is becoming reluctant to go up. Is there an easy way to fix this without dismantling the door.
I had this problem with a previous car and lubricating the motor pulley system cured it.
Whats a painless way to do it on my 2004 156 SW?
My 147 felt lazy and the fuel consumption dropped. Only getting 40mpg on motorways trips. Thought classic MAF fault so I got a new MAF which made it a lot better and for the start of the week was getting 45mpg. Today, it feels lazy again and the mpg is dropping. Almost as if the MAF is...
I just got my error messages from the car(147, 1.6TS,2001)
P1177 and P1178.
Seems like the reasonable fault for this error is the MAF.
The car has also been lazy when I push 4000-4500rpm, and is really slow further on to about 5500. Longer then that I never managed to wait...
so iv had my gtv v6 about 2 month now and iv had a fair bit of work done making things right already anyways i got home the other night to find some oil dripping from the front off side. I had a bit of a poke about while it was on the drive not much to see really due to my fat head not fitting...
Just so you dont get the impression that I've been laying low lately, I've been working on my best man's 33.
Got a used 16v engine and fully rebuilted it, as the one he had on the car needed a crank and was impossible to find !
Here are some pictures :)
My wife has a series 3 Spider (1988) it has begun to be a pain to start.
Sometimes the engine will just not turn over.
Volt meter reads 12 volts. Turn the key nothing or strains to turn over. Other times whoosh and your off.
If I jump it from a huge leisure battery I have it goes first time...
Well I've had a bit of a problem with my GTA in that it is quite lazy to start, but thought nothing more of it. Today I go to start the car and it was quite difficult, pushed gently on the throttle and it fired, but then came up with the MSCF warning. Drove a short while and car seemed ok...
I'm back on the road which is great.! been off since Dec!
The engine is completely rebuilt (ports and valves are better) decarboned and degreased,
pistons and rings all cleaned up,
inlet manifold is smoother,
exhaust manifold is better port matched to the head and turbo,
The boot/trunk on my S4 is a little lazy, it sometimes closes slowly on its own. I see that the hinges left and right seem to have 3 slots where the (unbelieveably tough) spring could possibly be adjusted to to cause more tension. I can pull on the spring and move it but am a...
