Was in a rush to get to the cinema last night and carelessly swung my car into a side of the road to park and heard a very loud grinding noise
Had a quote for £96 for full refurb here in Nottingham at the wheel specialist he seems to have a very good rep so I'll just take it...
For the first time in 22 years' diving, I lightly kerbed two wheels on the 156 today. It's got 147 Collezionne wheels finished in silver over black so not cheap. Have managed to mix a small amount of paint and touch up and they look OK. The pics below were taken before I did this so they do look...
Sad evening today.
Kerbed my lovely front Prodrive alloys. Some idiot decided to park in the turning point at the end of the road, so had to reverse through a very tight point. So tight in fact that the wing mirrors had to go in, then crunch....kerbed it.
Is there anywhere decent in the...
Just had everyone's worst nightmare this evening - scuffed my black sportiva alloy ? Actually felt sick when it happened!!! ?
Most of the scuff is superficial but some has taken a little bit of the black powder coat off. Does anyone have any experience of getting them touched up or...
Can anyone recommend any decent "patchup" repair kits from anywhere (halfords) for my QV black wheels, its only a slight scuff on the very edge of the rim and doesnt really warrant a £60.00 alloy refurb....thx in advance , lee.
As the title suggests I have managed to kerb the front passenger side alloy. First time I have ever done this and it wasn't enjoyable!
The problem is the Cloverleaf alloy is diamond cut and has raised sections. Does anyone know where I can get get a high standard of repair near Edinburgh or...
Kurbed my alloy a couple of months back and still haven't got round to doing anything about it. As I'm getting new tyres soon I thought I best do the wheel aswell, the wheel is fine all the way round apart from this one bit of bad kurbing. Photo says it all really, behind the 'lip' of the alloy...
This isn't a proper rant, or a funny rant, it's just me venting my spleen 12 hours after kerbing one of my hitherto prisitine Ti alloys.
Specifically the long stay car park at Manchester Piccadilly. I'm not a frequent rail user - it's almost 10 years since I last used a train here - I fly...
There is a one way system near to where I live, I was driving my lovely pristine Giulietta round there last night and as I came round the blind bend to my surprise there was a little chav in a baby blue micra on his mobile phone hurtling down the wrong way of the one system towards me, I just...
Last night comming out of a stupid tight car park exit I managed to kerb one of my 18" turbines! I tell you guttered does not come close to how I feel!!
Has anyone had a turbine repaired? I have a 1" graze on the rim, will a repair work or do I need a full alloy refurb?
Kerbed an alloy just on the edge... not too bad but noticable.
I don't need a full refurb but want a good job doing.
Can anyone recommend a good place that is local, either mobile or one I can travel to.
I live in Halesowen, so anywhere in the Black Country, Birmingham, etc.
Took delivery of my new shiny magnesio grey 1.4TBA Veloce three weeks ago, very pleased with it too! Yesterday driving down a street with double parked cars was forced into the kerb by an oncoming vehicle and kerbed the offside rear wheel. Dismayed to find it scratched with the wheel paint taken...
Kerbed both passenger side alloys on the way into work this morning (narrow road, oncoming traffic just caught the kerb). Scuffed the rim and about 2 spokes on each. Not happy :mad:
I've got the two-tone anthracite turbines (CL standard fit) - so I'm guessing this is going to...
Kerbed the front left alloy on my 159 today, my own fault, just was not paying attention...next decision is whether I should try and repair it myself or get a professional to do it...chr**t on a bike I am p****d at myself.
Managed to kerb one of my ti alloys yesterday, second one in three months!:(
Does anyone know anywhere in Birmingham where I can get it refurbed at reasonable price? Not got a lot of time in the week, so need somewhere in central brum, or someone who will come out / are open on Saturdays...
SO, as some may know there seems to be
a lot of very bad drivers who kerb their
lovely wheels on the newer cars.
Especially the 18" 7 holes (Mugello)
So let's see if there really is a problem.
This poll is for 18" wheels.
Further polls to follow to compare with other sizes.
The car is less than 1 month old... and I kerbed the wheels (well one really badly and one with a minor graze).
OK, I park on the street and in a narrow road too, so I try to keep it near the kerb, so the car won't get hit, but I kerbed it yesterday with that nasty grating noise... I...
Whilst in the lakes over the weekend my 17" 156 wheel was kerbed on their brutal rock road edgings !! ....quite badly.
It's effectively taken a chunk out of the wheel about an inch long along the circumference rim.
Is there anything I can do ? - are they repairable ?
