Hey all, My Giulietta 1.6 JTDM (2016) is coming up on 120,000km so timing belt etc is going to be done. I don't know when the gearbox oil interval is...doesn't seem to be one listed in the owners manual. Is 120,000km too early to do this job? Thanks!

Hi, The last time the car got the timing belt replaced was at 58k miles (October 2014 with previous owner). The car has now 114k miles. I believe that the belt should be replaced every 70k miles or 5 years, isn't it? I have booked a timing belt and water rump replacement at the Alfa Workshop...

I'm looking to buy a Giulietta 1.4 MultiAir 170 and I have been to see one which is a TCT on a 14 plate. Looking at the service history I became concerned when there was a gap between services of just under 2 years and 27,000 miles. It's on 56k now. Apparently, the oil was changed about 1500...

My new 166 has a reciept for a full cambelt change at 95Kms done on 26/2/13 The advert stated the cam belt was done recently at 110kms but I have no paperwork to back that up. since that time the car has done about 1800kms what to do? My gut feeling is to order a new belt and run the car until...

I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but cold starting of my car seems to take a revolution or two longer than it used to. This may simply be due to the colder weather but it also seems related to the length of time since previous use. I'm sure that for at least the first six to eight...

Why do the petrol Guilia's require servicing every 9k miles when other manufacturers only need a service every 20k miles ?

At what mileage do you fellow 166ers change the oil and oil filter on your Bussos? 2.5 or 3 litre - no disrespect to TwinSpark drivers!

So as I understand, unless you have a diesel engine the original timing belt change interval was 120.000km (72000 miles) or 6 years, but since a couple of them snapped and it cost Alfa a lot to replace them they changed the interval to 60.000km (36000 miles) or 3 years. Some say that they were...

hey guys. The owners manual says you can wait to do an oil change for a 2.4 diesel at 35,000kms or 2 years. This seems I inordinately long for a car that was built 9 years ago (today in fact) and had a DPF when new. Anyone knows reason behind the long changes? As someone who changes the oil...

Wondering what peoples views are on timing belt replacement intervals are for GQV. I read 3 and 4 years in google searches. But is it 3 or 4 officially ?

Morning all Found a sportwagon I'm interested in, however struggling to find definitive answer on cambelt service interval for the 2.0 diesel engines. Belt was done March 2014 on 70k and it's on 110k now and 3 years. Is it due on time at this? I've read 60k or 3 years? And in some places...

According to multiecuscan, my 2012 1.3 completed 39 regenerations. After forcing a regen last friday, the counter was 40, so the counter works :) But, the regenerations for a 1.3 jtd should occur once every 400km (250 mi), and my car has 114000km (70836 mi) on the clock, so the counter should...

The last time I replace the cam belt in my 156 I also changed the can belt tensioner and idler wheel, the balance belt and its tensioner the auxiliary belt, water pump and variator etc. It's coming up time to look at replacing the cam belt again, can anybody tell me what else I should be...

My Giulietta QV 175o (1.8 TBI) has just had its 2 year service, having covered 23,000 kms. At this service the Spark plugs were changed even though my Service booklet says they are to be changed at 70,0000 kms. When I queried it, the service 'manager' said the next change would be at 60,000 kms...

In the Warranty and Service Booklet is a page listing "Service Times - 12000/18000/21000 mile intervals" It a table. The column headings (in red) are the mileages (x 1,000) i.e. 21, 42, a final heading "Annual Service" The rows titles are the models e.g. Alfa 159 1.8. Alongside these...

Hello All, I have a Multiair 135 TCT Mito which has done nearly 9.5k miles. I have been reading around and it seems that the car might be ready for a service within the next couple of months or so. (I cover a lot of miles and have done nearly 3.5k in the last 2 months that I have had the car -...
