I am thinking of removing to enhance the sound of the 5 cylinder a tad. Anyone done this and were the sound results? I am noticing that more and more new cars don't even have under bonnet: New Toyota Supra... Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

Hi all Just got a 2003 Spider that is pretty good but has had a burst hose in the past (by the look of it). I want to replace the silver bulkhead insulation and other such bits (if possible) and wondered if anyone had done this (and a supplier). Ken

Anyone know what part number these are, managed to drop one into the engine bay! They are squareish and press together if anyone is unsure what type they are. I only need 1 if anybody has a spare please, can't seem to find them from generic online suppliers.

I have a question regarding the insulation in the compartment which contains the ICU. On mine there appears to have been some black foam (acoustic?) which has broken down with age and turned to powder and mush! Does anyone know if this foam was originally attached to the bulkhead or the carpeted...

After having some repair work carried out on my bonnet, I have discovered that several of the insulation retaining clips are missing. Does anyone have access to a parts catalogue or better still a website that sells some of these more detailed parts?

Hello all, My dad has a 1.4 MA Lusso on the optional 17 inch turbine wheels and complains that there is a lot of road noise coming from the back. Having recently done a two hour round-trip in his back seat I must say I agree, it gets a bit wearing back there after a while. So for Christmas...

Hi Any of you recommend insulating tape/tubing to encase the wiring loom that runs between the rear bank and bulkhead? Mine is the original plastic corrugated tubing and is crumbling to bits. Thanks

It comes with the default sound system (it is the maserati limited edition of the MiTo, so no choice of bose was given). The first...

:confused:Answer: 5 this time (1 in the boot) But probably 7 if the boot had been totally clear, and no Mum in the passenger seat. Builders of the UK take note, why do you need a big ugly van?? When you can ride about in style, in the ultra practical 156... I must admit when I got to it...

Hey guys Factors which are currently bothering me: Substantial wind noise at motorway speeds Cold interior after leaving it outside during a winter's day Hot interior after leaving it outside during a summer's day This leads me to the realisation that I need to improve the insulation in my...

Hey guys, You may have followed my exhaust, remap and induction antics. Well the Brera 2.2X as I think I'll call it now is an absolute corker, I love it. The exhaust is louder than before and it's not much of a problem - I only notice if I'm very tired or hungover, and only then under load -...

Dear all I forgot to mention that earlier this year , after i had inlet manifold replaced under the warranty (£1000 job) i booked my car with the delar to change front badge (the paint came off and was looking nasty) and driver side windscreen insulation (was sticking out a bit on the low...

Hi Guys, I bought some racing use Aluminium Foil insulation tape. Just wondering anyone has experience on using it? I'm planning to wrap the air intake pipe and hopefully it can block the heat from our hot V6 engine. The tape claims can block up to 1500c. Another area I'm planning to use the...

A combination of leaking air-con and other water getting in to the passenger footwell (not least from a fairly large puddle encountered earlier this week) means that the insulation under my carpet in the passenger footwell is pretty manky. I've a price for a new piece from Mangoletsi (about £30...

just a quickie... the insulation on the bonnet is there to what exactly? keep noise levels down? keep heat in? protect paintwork from heat? if the paintwork is fine without the insulation and its sole purpose is to keep noise down then wouldnt it pay to remove it to allow more heat to be...
