I just purchased an Alfa 166 2.0 TS to replace my old 155 which was showing signs of "Rusticus Maximus" and therefore was parted out to someone who could afford to rebuild it rather than scrap it.
As with most 166's, my car has no ICS code. I tried Alfa Romeo Museum and my local...
Today I had the following situation: while driving with aircon on I got a message on the ICS " Low voltage fan setting not possible". Outside temp was + 35deg C. Aircon went off after some seconds. When I restarted the aircon some system lights started blinking like ASR, ESP and others...
When I bought my 166 on ebay a few weeks ago it was listed with intermittent electrical problems: windows; wipers; headlight's and a/c would occasionally stop working, first thing I did was to clean the battery terminals and clamps, this seemed to work for about a week, I've since replaced 4x...
Just as I'm getting ready to drive to France on Friday, ICS screen has gone blank
Fuses are ok, everythings else as seems as it should be (apart from ABS light just come on, and Aircon misbehaving.................. .. .... ... ..) just no ICS display
Any ideas please folks...

Can anyone tell me the best way of getting hold of an ICS unit. My 166 3.0 lusso still allows the c.d and radio to play, but shows no display for anything including the sat nav.
Any ideas of the problem gratefully received!
I have an alfa 166 ICS for sale. It is in very good condition and is fully working.
The unit was removed from a 1999 3.0 super last night, before removing it was tested and working 100%.
As mentioned in the title, and as you can see in the picture of the unit, the all important code card...
Just bought a 52 plate 166 twin spark. The ICS works but you cannot see the display.
So, can anyone tell me if the v6 versions are identical (or will the trip computer settings need to be reprogrammed)?
Does anyone have one to sell with the code in grey, or one in silver with a silver gear...
Hi guys,dudes,babes and chicks.
My name is Bart from the netherlands and bought myself an alfa 166 2.0 ts last week. Fourth car in the driveway,we also own a fully modified Honda crx, citroen saxo and a Vw caddy.
Bought the 166 cheap as hell,so obviously i have to get my hands dirty.
...is available in Ireland (ROI). Pick up only. Price: any sum to your favourite charity.
P. S: this is the second last piece from my old 166. I'll keep the last one, a cracked alloy wheel as a reminder for those great days when I still had a 3l V6.
The problem is that my stereo makes a popping sound, as if the connections are bad, for about 1-5 minutes when i start the car, only if it is cold. If i turn on the stereo without starting the engine, there is no problem. The connections on the back of the ICS have been checked, and any...
My clock on the ICS seems to be about 30 minutes behind the actual local time.
I have tried all the time offsets and zones but cannot get it to actual GMT (+00) at present.
Does anybody know, is there an internal battery in the ICS and if so, could this be at fault ?
Any advice would be...
