Evening All. Quick question re: the GTA driver's seat height adjuster. The ratchet handle thing that heightens the seat operates fine but it's just tilting the seat to one side, which is odd. It's just lifting the side of the seat nearest to the driver's door, has anyone had this fault before...

My gt 3.2’s intake hose flexi has split, probably due to the completely shot upper engine stabiliser, which I’m about to replace. What are my options for a new intake hose? The part number is 60678022, can I just buy the flexi section or is it all one unit. The section that is broken on mine...

An interesting GTA has appeared on Auto Trader... interesting to me because it's a GTA and I like to keep an eye on the value, it's sub 100k, it's red and it looks pretty standard. But I think it's interesting mainly because it's carrying the RE02 reg prefix, which I understand is significant...

Hello everyone, I have picked up a pair of GTA/Q4 330 mm Brembo calipers to upgrade my 156 2.5 V6. Calipers had very seized and corroded bleeders and 2 out of 4 pulled half of their threads with it. Aluminium... :sneaky: I am kind of in a situation here as we are speaking about brakes, safety...

As the owner of a high mileage 156 GTA I do keep an eye on their values. One has come up on the Trader with 263 thousand miles (MOT history reckons 216k), 8 months ticket and a cat D (2012) due to a rear shunt so the ad says. I can believe that the insurer would write such a car off, Bazza's...

Ciao Alfisti ... crisis situation. Read on: M1144s purchased ... price was good. Nothing wrong with the pads. Opened the packaging, removed the pads, gently beveled the edges for ye anti-squeal effort, and then realised they were for, err, the following fitments: (and not for my 330mm / GT/166...

For ages now there have been some niggling problems with the GTA which need addressing. Spurred on by fellow Alfisti activities during lockdown the GTA is receiving some love, first on the list are the crusty uprights. Hopefully this thread can help those are are similarly sprucing up their...

After taking the GTA out for it's weekly run, to stop everything seizing up, I noticed some condensation in the speedo and rev dials (more so in the rev counter). Not much, but it isn't something I recall seeing before. In fairness it was as wet a day as we've had recently, but, the carpets are...

As most GTA and 3.2 owners know, the dreaded timing belt engine mount (60655868) has been out of production from Alfa for quite some time. Whilst there is a smattering of companies able to refurbish old mounts, there is nothing in the aftermarket. AlfaWorkshop and E.B. Spares do however have an...

Is there anybody that knows where i could find a bodykit that resembles the original GTA design, other than the MM one. So far I found body kits/parts from Cadamuro and MM and nice looking front splitter from maxton design. If there's someone out there who knows anything similar ( but not...

Calling all people with those wonderful restoration wizardry skills... I've bought a pair of used GTA xenon headlight units. One is a bit scabby as you can see in the images but they were cheap and will serve as a good source of spares. The lenses I'm comfortable with as I know they can come off...

Evening all, New to the forum but a long time lurker. I've just been for a run in my GTA and after stopping off at my parents and trying to start the car the engine is turning but mot firing. I've read the codes and it's P0335 crankshaft position sensor malfunction. Does anyone know where this...

Calling all pre-facelift 156 owners with Xenon lights, are the headlight units specific for LHD and RHD cars? ePer suggests so but I'm curious to know the difference, are the igniters angled differently or something to give the correct beam pattern or is beam pattern etc controlled entirely by...

Today's little job was to replace the long roof seal that goes from the top of the front wing back along the roof to the rear door handle. Amazingly you can still get these and it's quite a nice easy job compared to other seals on the 156. So for those interested or thinking of doing this job...
