    Alfa Giulietta
For sale is my 2011 Giulietta Veloce 2.0 JTDM2 170 BHP Diesel. I've had the car since July 2018 and have covered 14000 trouble free miles. It has approx 10 months MOT. During my ownership it has had the following work done: Full timing belt and water pump kit at 64000 (at a local Alfa...
  2. Goodbye...

    Alfa Giulietta
Well, said goodbye to my Giulietta today after 7 years of (mostly) a loving relationship. A few niggles here and there, especially this week breaking down 3 times due to -22C temps - she never liked the Finnish winter. Now replaced by a lovely C-HR hybrid. I will still lurk around here for a...
  3. Time to (almost) say goodbye...

    Alfa Giulietta
So, after 6.5 years of the Giulietta TCT, I finally decided to look at alternatives. This has now taken my fance the Toyota CH-R Hybrid. Very nice, lots of extras, and lower consumption. Have borrowed one for the weekend to get used to it. Will miss my Alfa but that's life. Talk me out of it guys!
  4. Goodbye remap due to new emission limits?

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
My remapped (up to 210bhp from 170) 147 Ducati Corse just scraped its way through its first MOT since the new lower emission limit. The tester said that I'll probably be lucky to get it though another test the way it is. Is this likely to be mainly due to the remap, or could it be something...
  5. Say Hello, Wave Goodbye.

    General Alfa Discussion
After an almost faultless 5½ years with my beloved 159 SW 1.9 Jtdm Lusso, yesterday saw me, sadly, selling what has so far been the best car I've ever owned. It was beautiful, practical, relatively fuel efficient and never once broke down on me (I think it's cost me less than a grand in repairs...
  6. Goodbye

    General Alfa Discussion
I have had a string of Alfa Romeos over the last 20 years. Starting with a 1995 155 V6 widebody, a 156 Selespeed, GTV TS and most recently a 156 GTA Sportwagon which I owned for nearly 8 years. Sadly, I’m done. Roads are now so damaged and rutted that I couldn’t drive a drivers car as it was...
  7. Goodbye and hello, sort of

    Alfa GTA
Hi, I'm no longer a GTA owner. My 156 GTA SW was destroyed in a fire :hurt: :weeping: It happened while it was parked near the airport during our holiday. The garage where it was parked was destroyed in a big fire that started 3 sheds away. I'll spare you the after pictures and just share some...
  8. Goodbye Mito, you will be missed.

    Alfa MiTo
I bought my Mito 1.4 multiAir 135 Distinctive new in December 2012 and last week I had a letter from Alfa saying that as it was approaching 5 years old it had passed the recommended age for replacing the cambelt. I went to my local dealer to discuss this with them and they quoted £482 including...

Hi All, It's a sad day for me because my Alfa 159 JTDM died :( I posted a thread a few weeks back about my engine failing come home on night. Well, after two weeks of searching and considering the various options I decided it was too expensive to get going again and purchased a cheap civic...
  10. Goodbye Alfa/Alfa bits to a go!

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
I've been sadly forced to say goodbye to my 159 1.9 jtDM, due to someone kindly driving up my backside resulting in a write off by the insurance company :-(. Thanks to those who gave me good advice over the last few years, it's been a great help and big learning curve. I have a few bits which I...
  11. Sadly goodbye to my 156

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Afraid its time to say adios to my 156 jtd 1.9 pretty sure the head gasket has gone and a starting price of £750+ just makes it too much. I thought I would give you guys a shot to see if anyone wanted it for parts or repair . Apologies if this is not the right place protocol admin . If not...

    Alfa Giulietta
It's been over 3 years of great motoring, I'll be sad to say goodbye to the G and this forum and its lovely posters, and will i'm sure one day come back to the brand (Stelvio possibly) but i've decided to buy an 986 Boxster S to get my mid-life crisis out of the way early, but until I'm back I...

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
I havent posted on this forum for a while, but just wanted to inform you that my beloved 159 1.9 JTDM is having to be scrapped. The curse of the dreaded M32 gearbox, unfortunately has completey given up. So, I have a question - How much do you think I can get for scrap? WBACar offer is £350...
  14. Goodbye to the 159 Ti Sportwagon or BMW125d ?

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Both myself and my wife were recently made redundant from the same organisation. She has got a new job 10 mins walk away in the local town and I have just got another job in the city centre which will necessitate a commute by train. Sounds like great news (which it is) but one cloud on the...
  15. Goodbye

    Alfa Giulietta
having placed order for new G Super in July it has now been four and a half weeks since dealer called to say it is at code 50 (arrived in UK) and could I sign the paperwork, which I did the following week by which stage it was code 55. (awaiting transport to dealer) Car has not arrived at...
  16. Goodbye everybody I've got to go

    Alfa MiTo
After two Mitos since 2009 it's time to say goodbye. Started with a 120TB then swapped 3 years later for a 135 MA. But - trying to get the grandchilrens' isofix chairs in and out of the back, and then get them in and out of the back, is getting too much. In my younger and more supple days I got...
  17. Goodbye awsome GTA

    Alfa GTA
Today is the first day in nine years where I don’t have in my pocket the GTA key, I said goodbye to my beloved GTA last Saturday in a celebratory road trip from Switzerland to UK together with Its new Owner which happens to be one of my best friends and a real Petrolhead with OCD when it comes...
  18. Sadly saying goodbye to my 07' 159. Whats a realistic price?

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Sadly need to say goodbye to my 159... Owned her since 2010, and its been an absolute pleasure. Previous to this, she was a fleet car, making most of her journeys on the UK's motorways. Here are the specs (to the best of my knowledge) - what would be a realistic price I would achieve for her...
  19. Is it time to say goodbye?

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hello all, I'm hoping to get some thoughts from those of your who are more knowledgeable than I am because after almost two years of owning my 147 (05reg 1.9 jtd 150bhp) I feel it may be time to part ways. The car has been my sole form of transport, travelling about 60 motorway miles 3 or 4 days...
  20. Goodbye 159 Lounge!

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Like many men into their 60's, I have been seduced by someone younger, smaller yet still Italian! I've sold my beloved TI 67000 mile 58 reg Sportwagon to Luigi at Auto Capozzoli near Yeovil and am going to look at a Fiat 500X Cross tomorrow. I've driven a couple of 500X demonstrators locally...
