3)I've found genuine plugs for...

I bought my car a few weeks ago and it has been asking for glow plug replacement so I bought 4 NGK plugs, but every garage I go to they won't touch it, they are saying the turbo needs removing to access them. Is this the case? Does anybody know an easier way or a guide I can show to my mechanics...

Has anyone encountered this before. Or would the know the codes.
Thanks for the help.
Had a glow plug warning come up on the dash so picked up a new one from Alfa specialist, but there was some confusion as to what should be fitted in the 210 hp Ti engine.
There are two different part numbers and if you lay the glow plugs side by side, there is 5mm difference in the...
I was driving on B-roads, when my car cut out.
No electrical power loss, but the engine stalled, causing me to lose brakes and power steering.
The "check engine" light came on.
I booked it into the garage, and the diagnostics came up with a glow plug error and an injector error.
My cars starting with some smoke lately, so I thought I d change the glow plugs to see if it improves things, theyve not been changed since I ve had it.
I came across an ebay listing that claims that 1.9 170s have different glow plugs than other 1.9s.
I ve searched alfaowner to verify this...

Getting this message for the first time. I've read that it might just be an electric issue and the car is starting as usual although not as immediate as it once did. If this is a genuine glow plug problem, is there any risk of damage if I just leave it or will it just fail to start one day? And...

You will see that a metal brush is used for scraping dirt from walls.
Is this methods safe to use on JTD engine? I'm wondering where all that dirt is going below?
My 159 has always been a poor cold starter. I replaced the glow plug relay which held the plugs on longer but didn't really help the cold starting performance much.
So I ordered a new set of NGK plugs from eBay. They arrived today and were easy to fit.
I had pre-soaked them with penetrating...
