Hi I had a 159 Jtdm from new back in 2007 for twenty thousand brilliant miles. I subsequently had company cars up until last week, a job change has meant I am getting a company van with no private usage and the need for a cheap run around. Last week after spending days looking at sensible and...

Just changed my dipped headlights to Osram Night Breakers. Alfa, what on earth were you thinking about with the lights, that clip and the access. The drivers side was just ridiculous. No skin on my knuckles now. But much brighter lights.

Thanks to the guys over on Pistonheads who managed to get the issues I had joining the forum sorted. I got my first Alfa a couple of months back. A nice wee 52 Plate Silver GTV. As a follow on to the "Cars which you wished you had kept" thread... Which cars have you owned that you couldn't wait to get shot of? A couple for me... The Fiat Cinquecento that I bought the Missus to learn to drive in. I had heard that they were good to drive, but it was slow, noisy, and...

While doing some campaign marketing for a friend at Uni I had the unfortunate pleasure of driving a Suzuki Alto 0.8 GL (we were putting decals on it as slogans and it had to be moved) and I don't think I have ever driven a worse car! The gear stick was as wobbly/loose as anything and popped out...
  14. Introduce Yourself
Hi there, Martin here. Been lurking a while but decided to join as I was interested in some of the techy stuff. First owned an Alfa - (Sud Ti) back in the 70s and 80s (I'm a weathered 69) then, after "family cars" in between, bought an '06 156 2.4 JTD (red) new in 2006 - and had confirmed to me...
  15. Alfa MiTo
Just got back from a rare 1200 mile trip round the UK in a hire Golf seeing clients. The Golf was a TDi with dsg box. So, this is a massively capable car that averaged 58 mpg on the computer and mostly I was doing A roads and M ways. M ways were 80 mph and bunged up in horrendous jams...

 :) Well, I had to sell my 147:mad: 2 1/2 years ago, and move into an E calss Merc :(. Work took me on a merry 120 miles a day commute and the 147 was just too tiring to do that distance up and down the M3. The good new is that I'm back - with a fantastic red 159 SW with the...
