  1. The Classic Alfa Romeos
On my S2 Spider I traced some cabin fumes to lack of the 'large' rubber gaiter that goes over the gearbox aperture (i.e. the large metal pressing on the tunnel) I've purchased and fitted one. The 'small' gaiter that sits over the sliding washers on the gearbox tower was already present. Now...

Can anyone recommend some decent leather gear and handbrake gaiters for a 147 GTA? The stock ones have had it, despite my best attempts to clean them up the coating on the vinyl is flaking off. There seems to be a lot of choice on eBay and the ones on look very nice so I'll...

I've now lost count of the number of gaiters I've had split on the CV joints of my V6 - mostly inner ones. The last one was fitted a year ago when my Q2 was fitted by Alfa Workshop, and I watched Andy the V6 man do the job right. I consoled myself at the time that 2015 would be the first year I...

I have bought a set of handbrake and gear stick leather gaiters and I need some advice to replace the old ones as I don't want to brake any of the trims. Cheers

OK, I've looked and I haven't found any instructions for removing and changing the. Gearstick and handbrake gaiters. Mine are both rather tatty. Is it so simple that I can't go wrong? Any tips appreciated. Thanks!

I have an earlyish Brera and need to replace the inner track rods. I have seen that I canget the newer fatter type cheap through ecp (about £20) but have read that my gaiters won't fit. So where can I get new style gaiters or should I try and buy the early style track rods instead and keep my...

Got some first shots of the steering wheel which is being retrimmed by a contact Alexandrus has. So far it's looking mint. GTA_nigel gave me alexandrus's contact and he has been a delight to deal with getting it all sorted in next to no time. Thanks mate. I'll have some more pics of the other...

The shafts on the 20v six-speed are allegedly Peugeot products but does anyone know if they're used on a Peugeot car? It grieves me to pay £22 each for inner gaiters if they're available for less under a PSA label!

The gaiter of my gearshift and handbrake are ok but slightly 'dry' and 'sticky' at touch...I don't know the material they're made of: do you have any idea what's the best way to clean/condition them? I suppose they're not leather, so maybe the same material used to clean/condition the surfaces...

My garage just phoned. The inner driveshaft gaiters are no longer available as a separate item... and they want £280 exchange for a complete new drive shaft. Someone must have stepped in to buy up all the old stock or fill a void like that in the market... any ideas? Google's not turning up...

Have started my 2013 mods early this year starting with replacing both my leather gaiters. Having searched advice on here for them I plumped for the black leather with grey stitching ones from Top gaiter off ebay. Gaiters arrived and I have to say i'm impressed with their quality given their £13...

After my son had changed the top left hand wishbone tonight which had started knocking over the last weeks (the ball joint was found to be rusted and loose) he noticed that the inner drive shaft gaiter was split on the inner corrugated rim less then a year after being replaced. So it will need...

I have just started to fit the new improved gaiters and hand brake cover in the correct matching colour leather. The ones I fitted two years ago were very nice but were not a perfect colour match. When I replaced the seats in my car I decided to cut some leather pieces from the old seats for...

Hi there, Just failed the Mot with steering rack gaiters split(actually a tiny hole but you can,t argue with the man) I have ordered the gaiters off e-bay but can anyone please tell me where to acquire the equivalent of a Haynes manual so I can replace them myself Many thanks:) Argon

God bless alfa design guys! Just in the middle of testing the 146 got knocked back on a split steering rack gaiter had to take half the car to bits to get at it. Took out the air filter unit the battery and the crossmember which the rack hangs on both track control arms off the only consolation...

I bought a pair of leather gaiters from Top Gaiters on eBay. Considering it was only £15 for the pair, I'm quite impressed with the quality. They're well made, with a lovely leather smell when you get them out of the packaging, but most impressive of all, they even have the slits around the...

Seaching fleabay for some universal suspension gaiters/boots to fit on front shocks but can't seem to find any at all. I've spotted them before on fleabay but no matter what search words I put in nothing comes up. Any pointers to help or am I just being a dumbass?
