I suspect engine ECU is suppressing DTCs. Tried unplugging boost sensor, but that did not cause any error, ECU was showing 200mbars of boost pressure. Disconnecting the throttle body made the car idle rough, but still no fault code in the engine module, plenty of codes in every other module...

Looked at the front of my car today, found that the front bumper has been clouted and is now split. No note, no indication of who it was. Probably some muppet who either has no insurance or no morals. Took me long enough to find a bumper in the right colour when i changed it from the battered...

What Kit to Force 159 DPF Regen? Ok, I realise that from the thread title, most of you will have said, here we go again , but, this request is a wee bit different: Because practically all my journeys in my 159jtdm not being a long enough trip to keep engine revs high enough for long...

I tried to force a regen tonight but it failed - "filter clogged". The differential pressure sensor is 1250mBar when the engine is running. The fault codes are P1206 - clean or replace particle filter - signal high P2455 - Differential pressure sensor signal - invalid signal I wonder if the...

On Saturday, in a rare moment of relaxation, I sat down to watch a film on the TV. It was "The Empire Strikes Back". I must be the only person in the world not to have seen it before. Anyhow, to get to the point. I reckon that the 166 Sporto is the Millennium Falcon. A great ship. Impressive...

Is there an easy way to force a rebuild of a USB pen drive? I added a few albums but they wouldn't show up tried several way to make it do a rebuild but no good, in the end I put different drive in then swapped it back to the original which worked. You would have thought there'd be an option in...

I was looking at my parking sensors using fiat ecu scan. While doing this I checked the status of my dpf. It said normal clogging and was 88% clogged. The car is used mostly for short journeys so I am wondering if it would be prudent to force a regen based upon that level of clogging? Cheers

guys, my manual 166 is causing me a bit of concern, she's (at times) having to be forced into gear, & i think (or i could just be going mad) that the clutch pedal has lost some height, seems to be sitting lower than normal. Until she's warm i'm literally forcing the car into gears, its not...

After returning from a 2 weeks holiday when I've left my 147 manual in 1st gear and handbrake (for good practice I'd think), now I wonder if I've made such mistake as now the gear lever becomes very sticky... I can still engage all gears in working order but it is hard work and with...

Ok as we know the standard airfilter for the 156 in 2001 (and other years) has a force feed of air, from the lower grill (on the side) at the front, up a tube and into a box containing a big air filter. When i had my K&N air filter put on obviously i was left with the big box container which the...

At the recent AONE monthly meet we discussed having a run out during the first weekend in April. The route I have planned from The Church Mouse at Chester-Le-Street is; Framwellgate Moor > Consett > Edmundbyers > Blanchland > Stanhope > St. John’s Chapel > Langdon Beck > Middleton-In-Teesdale...

I'm in the process of planning run out for the first weekend in April. The route I’m considering will take us from The Church Mouse up towards Edmundbyers and Blanchland before heading down through Stanhope to High Force and then on to Middleton-In-Teesdale, Staindrop and back home. Considering...

the good news, the wife looks to be getting promoted, the BAD news.... She gets a company car (Audi A3 i Believe). She wont be able to opt outta the company car scheme which, basically, means I will have to sell my(or should I say our!) beloved 147  ..only done 8500 miles in the thing...
