  2. A longstanding BMW M driver saying hello, coming over to the Italian fold.

    Introduce Yourself
Evening all, I’ve been BMW for as long as I can remember and my last 3 cars have been the last three versions of the BMW m3 coupe (the last obviously an M4). I’ve always had the Alfa itch since my old man had one and I’ve finally committed. M4 going this weekend and I ordered a Gulia QV...
  3. Another returner to the fold.. North West

    Introduce Yourself
So after many years in the wilderness after owning a 145 cloverleaf when they were new and growing up with suds and the like I went out and bought a 159 ti 2.4d. It's had the usual bits done like swirl flaps etc and tuning I believe as it flies. Few things to sort out like 2 new rear window...

Hi, it looks like after a 10 year departure (been messing around with fiat coupes)...I'm potentially back in the fold with a 3.2 v6 q4 spider??? Had 2 GTV's back in the day and loved them, always wanted a spider. Only question I have is does anyone know if the spiders (later 2008 brera types)...
  6. Returning to the Alfa fold

    Introduce Yourself
I owned and drove a 1971 1750GTV Frome 1974 until 1980. Best car I ever had given the time period. I have just purchased another 1971 GTV. Bodywork in pretty good condition but work needs to be done on the rest. Look forward to using the forum in the coming months and years.
  7. Back in the fold after 10 years!

    Introduce Yourself
New to the forum (obviously) as just picked up a Gulietta cloverleaf after being stuck with boring/company/workhorse cars for last 10 years. 8. Back Into The Fold

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Having sold my GTV V6 a couple of years ago (for a profit!) a combination of missing it and the Lancia still being 18 months from completion means I've come back to the light. I made the LONG trip down to the tip of Cornwall on Sat to collect this...

  10. Back in the FCA fold - temporarily!

    General Motoring Discussion
Went to pick up my rental car at a Seattle airport this afternoon, having booked full-size, Ford Fusion or similar. There, in all its glory, was a. . . Toyota Camry! So, a quick word with the nice Avis Preferred man along the lines of "I don't want a Toyota, haven't you got something more...

    Introduce Yourself
Afternoon All... A hello from me :) just purchased my first MiTo (1.3) and very happy to be back in Alfa ownership. Had a 145 many years ago, I loved it and did regret getting rid. Then got into, and worked in, the VW scene for about a decade so have been driving a varying array of VW's and...
  12. I tried to return to the fold but no luck

    General Alfa Discussion
After 5 years in the worldeness with the eventual arrival of the Giulia and my car due for replacement it was time once again to return to Alfa ownership that I had missed so much. So it was with great optimism that I set of to my local dealer to try and purchase a Veolce. Following an initial...
  13. Sadly leaving the Alfa fold

    General Alfa Discussion
I know it's a boring read but I thought I'd throw in my two cents about my time with Alfa Romeo as it has now come to an end. It's been a fun 4 years with my Mito TwinAir but the time came for it to go as the PCP contract was up. I've massively enjoyed Alfa ownership and learned a lot about...
  14. Coming back to the fold

    General Alfa Discussion
It's been a while, but I suppose it was inevitable. After my Alfa 147, I had a Jag and then a Citroen C6 which unfortunately got written off on Monday evening last week. But I'll be picking up it's replacement soon, a nice looking 159 Sportswagon with low mileage and decent spec, albeit 'only'...

  18. Back in the fold! - Questions

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
At last I am back - I've just bought a 2002 GTV. So, questions: Where is the best place to get an exhaust system fitted, mine is ropey as hell! Are any of the standard fitters any good (kiwi fit etc)? Where is the best place to get a cam belt, variation, tensioners change done these days - I...

    Introduce Yourself
Hi I had a 159 Jtdm from new back in 2007 for twenty thousand brilliant miles. I subsequently had company cars up until last week, a job change has meant I am getting a company van with no private usage and the need for a cheap run around. Last week after spending days looking at sensible and...
