Please help me solve this, I bought front DS2500 pads from motorsportworld.com for my 147 1.6 120BHP 2002 and tried to fit them today but they were different to the pads on there and didnt fit!
And even though two websites state that the pads for my car should be the FCP1134H...
Brake Pads - Ferodo DS2500 vs Mintex M1144
How do they compare against each other?
I've heard that the Ferodo DS2500 has less brake dust and better stopping power than stock pads, but they squeal a lot.
The Mintex M1144 produces more brake dust (more than stock???) but offers better braking...
Hi Guys. I need some help on Ferodos. I recently fitted DS2500 pads
with Zimmermann drilled disks at the front brakes on my 147. I want to upgrade the rear brakes too and i am wondering
which pads to fit. DS Performance ( DS 2000 ? ) or DS2500 ? I cant find a product code for DS Performance for...
I have just bought a set of Ferodo DS pads, for my 03 JTS, the fronts fit fine, but the rears are too big. The guy fitting them reckons the one's on mine are the same as ones listed in his Lockheed book under a 147, 1.6 or 2.0.
I bought FDS995, which are supposed to fit a 2.0...
Does anyone know the part number for Ferodo front brake pads (street use only) that will fit the Brembo 4-piston calipers supplied with 305mm rotor brake upgrade kits for a 156?? I think the Brembo calipers have 36mm / 40mm pistons.
I've got a pair of unused Ferodo DS Performance front brake pads for a 147 2.0TS or 1.9JTD for sale.
They cost me £75 but I'll sell for £50.
You'd have to pick them up or I can drop them off, within reason, because they weigh too much to post without paying loads more.
Where can I buy a set of ds2500 and a set ds-performance, for a '97 156 1,8?
No garages in my local area are able(willing??) to get them, and the main dealer says "the standard brakes are better, so why not just let us fit a new set of those?"
Preferrably a web-shop within the...
Rear pads and discs need changing on my 146 so I'm making this an excuse to upgrade to something slightly better than the OEM brakes.
After reading a lot of other peoples comments/opinions I've decided on Ferodo DS2500 pads at the front and DSPerformance pads on rear.
Could someone confirm...
Got my new bits and wondering how hard it would be to fit them myself? I'm pretty good at unbolting things and putting back on if I put my mind to it, but do I need any special tools? How about pushing the caliper pistons back in to allow for fitting the new (thicker) pads? Any tips...
Some of you came to this event last year so thought you and the newer members might be interested..........
The Derbyshire Section's annual inter car clubbing event is now booked for 26th of September....and we return to our old hunting ground of PF International near Newark.
Old Alfa pads had had it - the wire embedded in the pad had been exposed, but no warning light had come on - anyone else had this (or had the light come on with worn pads?).
The new pads don't have this "feature", so the garage just put a cable tie round the cable to stop it catching on...
Sourced from www.motorsportworld.com - Arrived promptly and very well packaged.
It was fitted by Bianco Auto Developments near Gatwick.
The disks look pretty purposeful, the pads are encased in black with a small, poorly printed, Ferodo Racing legend on them.
The two things the mechanic...
