  2. Hit a rock. Falken F453s going on today.

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
A quarry lorry kindly left a grapefruit-sized lump of rock on the road today which I managed to hit at 60mph. It destroyed a tyre but hopefully nothing else. I asked my local tyre depo for the Falken F452s (I'm taking the opportunity to replace both front tyres cos they're kack) as I've...

FK452s in 225/40 ZR18 are out of stock at both Camskill and Blackcircles. However, My Tyres are selling FK453s. Has anyone tried them yet?
  4. Falken tires

    General Alfa Discussion
Anyone using Falkens? in particular the Ziex ZE 912. They do seem to have some good reviews. Mike
  5. Falken vs Hankook

    Poll Room
My tire size is 205/55R16. I changed my tires a year ago and I know probably someone might laugh at the way I chose which ones to go for. Most sensible people would choose by performance, reputation, technical specs, etc... but I don't know much about facts. I didn't do any of that. I chose by...

  8. Falken F-452's ?

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Hi All I'll be re-shoeing my V6 GTV for the Spring and gonna move away from the Eagle F1's. There's a lot of talk on here of the Falken F-452's. I've been told Falkens are a budget tyre in the past and stuck to the Goodyear's. There are so many tyres out there at the minute that it's a...
  9. Falken tyres vs Pirelli

    Alfa MiTo
Hi guys, Quick question but when I bought my alloys they came with low profile Falken tyres. When they arrived at the dealership the engineer guys said that there hard and not very grippy and that I should replace them with Pirelli's. Now they seem to be ok but I must admit I don’t have the...

    Alfa 164 & 166

  11. Falken tyres are ace!

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Hello all. I know there's about a hundred threads on here about which tyres to buy, but I just wanted to recommend the new Falken ZIEX ZE 912. I replaced all 4 at the same time and it has transformed my Spider. I like to drive hard and fast, and so far has stood up to my 'energetic' driving...
  12. Falken ZIEX ZE-912 any good?

    Alfa 164 & 166
I can get a good deal (I think) buying Falken ZIEX ZE-912. Want to try something cheaper for a change. At the same time, I´m going for 215/55-17 instead of the original 225/45´s . Should in theory increase ride comfort, and make the speedo match better. It reads about 10% too low compared to my...

  14. Falken / Toyo Tyres - Advice needed.

    General Alfa Discussion
After some advice please. Just bought some Alfa Multi Spoke 17's to go on the JTS and now need tyres. http://www.camskill.co.uk/ The above are offering Falken tyres at £63 each or Toyo's at £77 with free delivery. I have used Toyo's in the past on my 155V6 and they seemed pretty good. Are...
  15. Falken Tyres

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
In short - are they any good? I was on a website www.eurocarparts.com and you can get the FK451 - they are very similar to the michelin pilot sports but you can get them for £40.54 + vat per tyre FITTED !!! in 205 55 R16 - is this a good investment or a buy cheap buy twice scenario ??
