I wonder if any have some experience of using the " Examiner " scanner instead the Autoscan.
I ask because the Examiner do not give you the possibility of put off the rain wiper sensor like the Autoscan does.

My Alfa GTV 1999, 2ltr twin spark keeps cutting off whilst driving. Mangoletsi have said they do not have the examiner and interface to reprogram the stepper motor and to fix the fault any more.

oh my god at least 10 different faults all cleared except 1
there is a wirring fault somewhere in engine bay that all they would tell me, when they unpluged the right hand plug near cylinder head the radiator fan came on.
If anyone can shed some light on this i would be happy :confused:

In the past I've heard mention of something called the "examiner" which sounds like some kind of computerised diagnostic tool that garages can hook your 156 up to in order to find faults (at a reported cost of circa £80 - £90 just to run these diagnostics !!).
My local specialist has an examiner but no printer, I had a quick look and it has what looks like a parallel interface and a usb interface.
It also has a cd-rom drive for loading on new software as it runs on windows 98.
Just wondered if anyone has any experience of hooking up a printer...
