Long time owner and occasional nosey parker here. Got a 156 V6 and have suffered the naff front brakes for too long now so decided to bite the bullet and get some DS2500. Easy to fit, took me about 45 minutes and then took the car for an Italian tune up to bed them in. Should have done this...

Hi I have an early 1996 spider ts, does anyone have the part number for ferodo ds2500 front pads. My car has lucas front calipers and I am running into problems with the ferodo website. Thanks
  3. Alfa GTA
Hi, I changed the disks and pads on my GTA yesterday and all was well until I tried to fit the inner pad into the offset front caliper. It wouldn't fit at all. It seemed the pads were too tall for the caliper, but the EBC red stuff that was on there fitted OK, if a little tighter than the...

No doubt this is a silly question to those in the know... I want to buy Ferodo DS2500s for the front of my V6 (Year 2000, Phase 2)...but I can't help but note when looking around that some sites seem to show pictures of these that vary quite a lot?!?! As in, they are a totally different shape...
  5. The Classic Alfa Romeos
The brakes on the spider got so bad recently that i had to take the car off the road, pedal to the floor and not stopping at all. Anyway, i'll be overhauling them this weekend, rebuilding the master cylinder and fitting goodridge hoses and was thinking about replacing the pads. There's plenty...

Does this seem over cheap for DS2500 pads Performance Braking Alfa 156 Or is is the best price ever?
  7. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Hi All, can anyone confirm which are the correct DS2500 pads for a GTV Cup... For the front it's FCP721H as they are the Brembo calipers. However there are two rear pads listed, both say year 96> and both are for Lucas calipers. FCP1113H or FCP409H If I was guessing I'd go for the more...

I have decided to put the DS2500 on the front where I have 330 mm drilled and grooved discs from EBSpares. What to use on the rear for a good balance on the car and on the wallet?
  10. Alfa Giulietta
Do Ferodo do DS2500's for the new G? (Looking for pads for the 330mm callipers)
  11. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Im thinking about getting Ferrodo DS2500 brake pads all round for the Fronts and rears. But Ive heard its not a good idea to get them for the rears as the rears can lock up before the fronts ? Anyone heard that before? Or should I just get 4 x DS2500 all round ? What do people think ?
  12. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Having been without an Alfa for just over two years I've recently aquired a 156 1.9jtd m-jet, which I am quickly becoming very fond of!! The only thing which lets it down are the dreadful brakes . Having done a bit of homework, searching the posts here, and seeing what others are using I am...
  13. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Just had my new discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads delivered and I'm not sure if I've got the right pads. They're to go on a 2002 model GTV V6 3.0, and I understand it should have Brembo callipers as standard. The part number for the pads I've been sent is FCP565H but FCP721H is also coming up the...

Just a tip if you doing the GTA brake upgrade, and I suspect even if you arent but are putting on Tarox grooved discs. I did this and put Ferodo DS2500 pads on as everyone seems to say these are the absolute best on the market. That may be the case, but I tried it and they scream like a banshee...

  17. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
After trying to get hold of some DS2500 front pads for my 147 2l, and failing due to delays in shipping to suppliers. I am wondering if there is a big difference between the DS2500 and the normal DS Performance pads?

  19. Alfa GTA
hey ok, i know this is the 'GTA' forum, and i have a GT. but it's a 3.2L V6. :p i want opinions on whether i should upgrade my rear pads to Ferodo DS2500. i am ordering DS2500 for the front (330mm brakes). i also have Goodridge braided lines ready to go, and Tarox slotted discs coming from...
