Quite a rare sight. Looks pretty neat, the owner got it from his son-in-law who was in Italy where it spent the first 5 years of it's life. Was tempted to give him my number and a "If you ever decide to sell..." but I have run out of drive and Mrs Pat would probably crack my binding and dim my...

Last used Spidey on 1st December. Been connected to a CTEK since in our secure dehumidified garage since. Stunning weather here in South Wales so a quick check of the tyre pressures etc, disconnect the CTEK & out I go for a nice 2 hour drive around the Gower. Car ran perfectly & new rear...

Hoping you lot can help. I gave my 20v a full front end rebuild inc; Flywheel, clutch, Slave cylinder, driveshafts, all wishbones and anti roll bar bushes. All good now except....I now have an annoying clunk/knock in the suspension/drivetrain on the passenger side. It manifests itself when you...

Ok who has opened the garage, looked out , smelt the spring , dragged the covers off , coaxed the sleepy motor into life , and gone for a quick blast round the local roads . How long can you resist the urge for ? My first was Sunday . Ought to think about taxing it really . March perhaps ?
  9. The Classic Alfa Romeos
Hi, a series 3 spider has caught my eye. I'm not rich enough to have a second car and wondered if these cars are usable as a daily drive. The oldest spider I've owned was a 2001 v6 which I loved, not got any experience of the classics though so advice welcomed.

I tried changing my passenger side drive shaft oil seal earlier today but got stumped when trying to get the diff. flange and shaft out. The manual calls for a couple of Alfa tools. One of them looks like a little slide hammer. Anyone have any experience of this? Cheers G

I was wondering if there were any keen golfers or any golfers for that matter that fancied once the weather got better, having a day out for the spoil of a good walk, followed by lunch/ dinner/ presentation, drool over cars, ignore golfers drink and have fun. I was thinking of Effingham Golf...

  15. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Had a business trip up to Worcester today, so decided to take the spider for a nice "ahem" run up the M50 from South Wales. Been a while since she's had a proper run for a good hour or more, so loved the hills and playing chase with one or two repmobiles. Best bit was when I went back to the...

the magazine write up (15 Jan 2014) is more comprehensive than that online below, driving it against a supercharged Lotus Elise and a Porsche Cayman. My little Alfa just keeps me smiling, just after Boxing day I had the joy of driving from North Wales to Cornwall to collect my children. Just a little over 700 miles return, this was repeated this Sunday when taking back my four boys to their mother. 1400 miles in a week, 20 hours each trip...
