drink

Water is essential for human life (well, all life really) and a pleasure to drink particularly when thirsty. So how much do you drink a day?

Hi All Hope you all have had a nice Easter? I have a question (or a few) and hoping at least one has faced the problem when refitting original fascia etc. I have a Alfa 147 Q2 and I have fitted (well almost) an after market unit, I think I still need to get a double din mount as the darn...

Hey guys, my 2.0 TS is drinking fuel, now, i know i have a heavy foot... BUT, 17 miles from 10 pounds is SH*T! If anyone can give me some pointers as where to start looking for faults i would hugely appreciate it! C

Recently bought a 147 2.0l TS, lovely car well looked after, runs really well goes like a rocket, BUT we've only done 700 miles and had to put 10 litres of oil in, no symptoms except belching out BLACK smoke when accelerated hard and a whistle from the engine bay above 2800 revs which sounds...

The reason I have posted this is because of research I am doing into drink driving. My local police say they have had a successful campaign in stopping drink drivers over Xmas. They breathalyzed a total of 914 drivers with 12 failing (6 failed between 9am and 11am the next morning). The great...

How much oil does you car use ? Most of my Alfas have used a little bit of oil, but the GTV is thirsty as hell. Engine is very loose and revs nicely and sounds very raspy. I have to top up from the bottom mark every 1000 miles, or every 500 if I hammer it more  Car does about 35mpg on my...

Another boring post about oil.... please bare with me :-) In fact my TS DOES use oil! But, I was told this is rather normal. In fact some people say, "if it doesn't, feel blessed, if it does, think nothing of it!Just give her more!" Thus I really would like to meet someone that could say: "-...

  15. Alfa GTA
I got home from work the other night and was looking at GTA stuff on ebay and found a number plate seller that had a link to a site where you can design your own plates, to cut a long story short i designed a plate i liked and 2 pints of gin and bitter lemon later i had spent £20 ( and another...

It's not big and it's not clever, but who, at some, young stage in life has lied to buy a drink ? Any Tales ?
  17. Poll Room
Anyone got any thoughts on this ? The proposal is to cut the limits from80mg/100ml to 50mg/100ml, about one small glass of wine or just less than a pint of standard beer. This would obviously affect people living in rural areas. Personally would go for zero, i.e. if you drink at all you don't...

Firstly about the car - its a 2.0 TS manual, 55k miles, 2002 model. It starts fine, never any smoke, pulls smoothly throughout the rev range even when cold. However, its consuming way too much petrol, but I'm at my wits end as to why. I've been getting sub 20mpg since I bought it 6 months ago...
