So Following a few other issue i decided to clean my MAP sensor (2.0 jtdm 170) This turned out to be a good move as it was completely blocked with crap. BUT, while carefully removing the senor (apparently not carefully enough) I snapped the clip on the back/bottom of the sensor that holds it in...

Been playing out in the GT a fair bit since having the decat and exhaust fitted but it's all gone a bit Pete Tong now as the motor control system failure message has popped up. Balls, it's only come on since the centre decat has been fitted.

Hi Folks Just changed the dipped beam bulbs on my 156 for the first time - always fun at night.. NOT! Anyway, unfortunately I removed the Headlamp level motor instead of the black cap to start off with (and without paying much attention how it came out).....and now I've knocked the N/S headlamp...
  7. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Originally advertised with a start price of £15 and a buy it now price of £30. I spotted them pronto after they went on flea bay and was about to push the "buy it now" button however ended up making a bid instead (the first bid removes the "buy it now" option) Have a look at the final price -...

.................... after 7 years of GTV ownership it suddenly hit me why the boot release button is hidden in the glove box. It coincided with thinking about the valet key. Obvious (I know you all know this). You lock the glovebox and hand over the valet key to .......well.... your valet...

And...

the 166 has thrown in the towel. the (brand new) timing belt tensioner has collapsed, taking the valve timing with it. it in classifieds, anyone with £400 can take it away - must be worth that for the ICS wheels and brakes alone, not to mention the new metal impeller water pump :cry:

Firstly, Thank you to this site for providing so much usefull information and help. I have just removed the Scuttle panel on my Alfa 156 to discover to my dismay that the baffoons that replaced the windscreen a few years ago didn't care so much as they claim in theyre adverts. Just about...

This morning I went out in search of the source of my damp passenger footwell, removed the foot tread trim and pulled up all the carpet to find everything was pretty dry apart from the damp carpet and soaking mat, slightly bewildered I decided I would check under the scuttle panel for leaves or...
  14. Alfa 145 & 146
Coming down the M6, noticed a jolt in power, then the engine light on. Now the throttle response is appalling, seems to be a massive delay in getting any power after pressing the pedal. The 2 relays (main & fuel pump), and the 2 fuses (one is for the MAF) in front of the battery have been...
