  1. De-Badging.

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Hi All, Has anyone had any experience in de-badging their Alfa? What's the best way of removing the letters/numbers..? Thanks again, Fraze Per Ardua
  2. De-badging

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
When I bought the Spider I looked at the back end and thought that there was just too much silver info stuck on there. "Spider" on the left was ok but I felt "V6 3.0 24V" on the right was just too much. So I took them all off giving the rear end clean appearance - 2 years ago. Today I came...
  3. De-badging...

    Car Detailing
Sorry if discussed previously but I wish to remove the 156 and 1.8 TS from my darling.... but am afraid! Given they've been stuck on for 15 years am I likely to damage the paint? Is the paint likely to be discoloured/tarnished? Is this a bad idea or is there a technique? Thanks for any input!

  5. 'De-badging'

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
I have a black 159 lusso 1.9 diesel auto which only has a 1.9 badge on the boot lid. I have looked at others on line, and most have 159 1.9 and jtdm - although I have also seen others with no badges. I am pretty confident that the car has not been crash repaired and it is in lovely condition...
  6. ***de-badging!***

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
My new GT looks wonderful and I enjoy drinking in the shape with my eyes, until I reach her lovely rear that is. :wow: Too many badges cluttering up her bum and spoiling the clean lines! :tut: She currently has silver 'GT' and 'JTDm' badges, plus a hideous 'Mangoletsi' transfer. I would like...
  7. De-badging a 159

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Hi all, Just bought a 159 and want to de-badge it. I know how to do it as I did it to my previous GT. My question is can the 159 numbers be removed in the same way as the 1.9 JTDM badges. It may be a daft question but I am asking as I had a 156 de-badged from new by the dealer but the 156 was...
  8. Help Please - debadging problem

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi all, Just trying to debadge my GT. All of the badges came off easily using cotton thread. The crud on the hatch came of with my thumb, then wipe with a damp cloth and job done. Then the problem : The Bertone badges on the side ! Came off easily enough but i cannot shift the residue. I have...
  9. Question re de-badging

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Question please. I almost always de-badge my cars. Why? not sure, I guess I never understood writing what the engine is etc all over part of a car is for, it means very little really. It seems more for the manufacturer, kind of advertising. Anyway I want to de-badge my 159. Can anyone tell...
  10. de-badging

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Anyone out there got any advice on how to de badge my JTD ie any special tool or liquids required?
  11. De-badging?

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
I want to remove the JTD badge from my GT, it's the only part of the car that looks [email protected] If it was the same script as the GT badge, or the selespeed badges, then I'd keep it. As it is, the square font looks like it fell of a Punto and I'm not having any of that nonsense! So, what's the best...
  12. De-badging

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
I'm comtemplating removing all of the remaining badges from the car. I.e. the 147 bit on the back and the Lusso ones on the front wings. I already had the 1.6 T. Spark bit taken off. What do people think? I guess the answer really is to try it in photoshop first...
  13. Debadging

    General Alfa Discussion
What is the official AO line on this, I can't remember. When I have my little reversing dent removed, I am going to have both my 156 and my 2.4JTD badges removed from the rear end. I think it will be 'cleaner' and keep petrol engined cars guessing especially after the remap. OK, the odd puff...
