  1. Alfa MiTo
Just had my MiTo serviced (2011 1.4 Multiair 135bhp TCT) including a coolant flush. Since then I noticed that the engine would come up to operating temperature (90°C), then dip slightly below for a short while, then go up to 90°C and stay there. Can someone with a petrol MiTo observe their...

My aircond stopped cooling 6 months ago. I did not care at the time as it was not very hot anyway. No cold air us coming out. Connecting multiecuscan does not say anything that I think us of value. No faults logged and the sensors seems to indicate believable values. The compressor is engaging...
  3. Alfa 159, Brera & Spider
I recently got me a Red Brera and I always wonder what it'ld look like with the iconic four leaf clover you see on iconic red Alfa race cars of old... But then is it like those folks who put AMG or M stickers on their Mercs and BMWs? You know a bit fake and not cool??
  4. Alfa 159, Brera & Spider
My Brother and Sister in Law just returned from holiday with this present for me. They obviously know I'm not a smoker but thought it was a neat present for me as they are quite aware of how taken by my 'new' car I am ? Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk

I like the look of the carbon seats in the QV from the front, but the naked carbon rears have the whiff of Halfords about them. I like the idea of keeping the weight down but I really don't want it to look like a kn0b end mobile. What does everyone think?
  7. Poll Room
It's a three way poll so sort-of cool wall-ish, but not quite. I love the styling of the 156sw since it comes from a long line of sporting estates, but which one of it's possible inspirations is the coolest? 1964 Reliant 'Triplex' Scimitar - probably the first sports estate. Originally done as...

I can't post in the Cool Wall section, but wanted your opinions on this: Lada Niva 2131 | Made in Russia (note = not the silver bling one, but the boggo spec one) I think it's cool, but I wonder how it compares off road to the three door? We can forgive it many things if it is good/very good...

smell. Bear with me. On my Sunday walk, I pass by a house owned (I guess) by a car nut. In the drive is a TVR (Gaz - don't ask me which one) and a Supra. Today, the Supra was idling away and it gave off that lovely car smell - it wasn't petrol or oil, but the smell of powerful car getting...
  11. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
So my car's up for sale and I've lived with a minor problem, symptoms are: - Poor starting (engine takes a few more turns than normal to start) - Upon starting there's white smoke from the exhaust and rough idling when the engine is warm or cooled down after a long (10mile+ drive) it starts...

  15. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi so had my 156 for a few months, always ran at about 50 degree on the water temp and only crept up if stationary for a very long time. Summised this could be the thermostat and promptly changed the offending item. So, now the temp comes up to just over 50 degrees but rarely moves towards...

Just spent a half 15 minutes making a Shell Lego Tanker. The kits are £1.99 when you fill up with £30 of Shell V-Power fuel. I thought it would be tiny and crap, but the finished model is a good size, and good fun to play with. The kits are well worth the £1.99 on a tank full.
  18. Alfa Giulietta
Hi - A few folks have told me I need to let my turbo idle before turning off the motor (for up to a minute or less). Doing this, (supposedly) allows the turbo to “cool down". I am wondering if there is any truth to this, as it is pretty tuff (and not very practical) to sit at idle once you’ve...
