  4. Getting Blank Keys Cut and Coded

    General Alfa Discussion
Hi all, When I had a GTV last year, I wanted to get a few spare keys for the car as it only came with 1. So I bought a couple of blank keys, with the chip inside. I went to Timpsons and they cut and coded the key and they worked fine. I tried the same thing today in Timpsons as I have just got...

  6. Colour coded dipsticks? Yellow and Black

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi everyone, I just changed the plugs in my 2001 156 2.5 v6 Q-shift. While I was in there I checked the dipsticks at the front, one Yellow directly behind the cooling fans, and one colored black, just under the air intake tubing. They aren't labeled and I can't seem to figure out which is...
  7. Colour coded

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
How different is 612/a to 694 met? I want some skirts but every silver alfa thats being broken doesn't seem to be 694 met grigio sterling. Is this a rare colour? Will it be very noticable if I have 612/a skirts?
  8. Colour coded grills and mirrors.

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Finished colour coding my grills and mirrors today. Mirrors are Alfa Red on top with satin black underneath. Grills are Alfa Red with chrome inner triangle - for that 8C look. :D Doing the sills, bumper lumps and the Tuesday's accident damage  tomorrow.

  10. New key to be coded

    Introduce Yourself
Hi I need to have the second key supplied to me for the 159 coded. Somebody forgot to do it! In the meantime i'd like to also replace the working key as it's quite worn. I've been told that a Spider key (which a friend has from a scrapped Spider) could be programed but I'm not sure they're...

  12. colour coded bumper inserts

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Has anyone had the black inserts in the bumpers colour coded? If so what are the results like, and do you have any pics you can show me? Is it a relatively easy DIY job? I'm torn between trying to source some GTA bumpers or just getting the black bits done in silver. I reckon my chances of...

    Alfa 155
For the 155 Q4, appart the chips-eproms coded 101.03 101.04 and 101.05-IMMO, I heard that there were also the eproms coded 101.01 and 101.02! Does any one have one of them? It will be very helpfull to me to "study" even these ones! Cheers Nick
  14. Colour Coded Door Mirrors

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
My door mirrors are looking quite shabby as the black coating is coming off the aluminium triangular 'fixing brackets'. I plan to have these sand blasted and recoated but this will leave the mirror surrounds looking rather dull and grey in comparison. Has anyone ever had there door mirrors...
