  1. Safe cleaning of TS block for rebuild

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
My engine builder has asked that I clean the block internally but I have some difficulty as the crankshaft has been left in situ (He says that the front pulley nut is very difficult to remove) and I am terrified that debris may go undetected. Is it safe to try and clean the block with the crank...

Hi all, I have a 159 which is pretty coked up and running rough. Could see quite a build up of carbon when the injector was done in and around the cylinders. Any suggestions for decoking? I’ve read about a service that blasts hydrogen through the engine to burn it off- anybody used this and...
  11. Guide to Cleaning a dirty Steering Wheel (Mito QV)

    Car Detailing
I’ve owned my Mito QV for nearly 4 years now, and although I keep the body work in good condition, the same can’t be said for my interior. As my daily driver the interior has been nothing short of abused. Sometimes life gets in the way to do anything more than an occasional hoover. Nothing in...

  17. Cleaning oily soot out of 10v manifold

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Is this worth doing? I previously had a 320D and when I took the inlet manifold off it had so much gunk in the ports that they were about half the diameter. Looking at the JTD 10v manifold you would have to remove the fuel rail at least to get it off which looks like a pain. Has anyone done...
