I just heard the intake sound become bigger compare to the bmc air filter and slightly faster throttle response.
Did any owner here had change the stock air box to the bmc CDA / OTA air box? any comments?
it would be really great if you can provide the model / size you got!
Looked at previous threads about fitting a CDA I understand I can move the Maf to the end of the intake pipe (although maf diameter appears to be on the small side) but I guess may jubilee up?? then the original 90 elbow into the engine side of the CDA, some how mount secure it.
So my first...
I have just bought a BMC CDA kit for my GTV JTS ( every little helps, as they say...)
Has anyone here fitted this kit? Was it quick/straightforward? Any opinions/tips/hints - or even photos - would be greatly appreciated.
I don’t expect any jaw-dropping improvements, just a slightly less...
Hey guys I tried to install my CDA air filter today but I´m running into some issues.
The filter is too low now to fit the duct on the bottom of the filter. And if I want to put it higher the MAF sensor touches the coolant hose. I feel like there is very little space and i´m sure I have to...
Hopefully someone can give me some pointers with this.
Basically just got a used BMC CDA box( just the carbon container and the filter, no pipework) removed from a 1.9 CDTi Vauxhall Astra, cost me nothing so thought I would be able to adapt it to fit the 2.4, but am at a loss as to how it...
I would like to fit a replacement filter on my GTV. I'm not looking for an exposed cone but rather a drop-in cylindrical filter or replacement airbox like CDA. Here are options that I am considering:
1. BMC CDA airbox
2. Drop-in K&N cylindrical filter
3. Drop-in BMC cylindrical filter
If I use...
I have CDA induction thingy fitted to my car. It has been on there since about 2010 I think.
I personally have never actually looked inside and I do not know if anyone else has looked inside when it has been serviced.
I had a quick look today and can't obviously see from where it is located...
Guys I'm fitting my cda (well trying to) where have you all secured it to as I'm struggling to find somewhere and the instructions are rubbish at best.I've got the crappy red bracket thing but it seems to long.
Help much appreciated.
I've tried searching,
I've just won a 70mm bmc cda on eBay for very cheap, I understand there is also an 80mm version available,
Has anyone got any experience with the 70mm version, is it any good, and is there any downsides to using it instead of the 80? I don't see why there would...
my 3.0 runs with a BMC CDA without a air feed pipe from the front. It had one on it but it fell off on a trip I did earlier in the year.
I'm thinking of better ways to mount the CDA. Currently it sits down the front - following with stock airbox with a (used to be there) air feed pipe...
Having found a very nice 147 GTA to replace my stolen example  and have almost got it as I like, I now have some bits and pieces which I need to find a good home for:
Set of 4 genuine Blackline 18" wheels, no tyres (fit 147 GTA) - 2 refurbed (unused since), 1 perfect and 1 with very...
A clear rip off of BMCs idea, but this passed my ebay eye.
Can't be bad for the money.
