  1. Alfa Giulietta
Hi guys, I have run my 1.4MA on Castrol Egde for the last two oil changes since I bought it. I do the oil-change every 10000 km (6000 miles) at an independent garage and bring my own oil there. Selenia is not very easy to find here in Sweden. So far I've been using Castrol Edge 5w40 that I have...
  2. Alfa 159, Brera & Spider
Morning all, I have just brought a 159 1750 tbi that needs a bit of work and I was looking at oil choices and reviewing the forum. I have 2 it is narrowed down to...which are both to fiat 9.55535-GH2 spec Castrol edge 5w-40 Selenia Sport power 5w-40 The selenia is rarer and more expensive...

  4. The Classic Alfa Romeos
Is there anyone here who has run their Spider 2.0 on castrol R engine oil ? Mineral oil is mineral oil and they use it for old racing engines so apart from the cost of it are there any drawbacks? Will it require much more regular changes? The smell of it is alone is worth the extra cost.
  5. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi All! So I'm just about to order some Magnatec 10/40 which I've been using in my 147 2.0 T-Spark Petrol for a while now - but came across the Petronas Syntium 800 EU10W-40. Has anyone used the Petronas at all? Any good? from Eurocarparts its only £15.30 delivered, Euro Car Parts | The UK's...
  6. Alfa MiTo
Is it any good, just bought some, it is 5w-40. Has the acea c3 spec, but no fiat 9.555. Gonna put it in my 170qv. But before I do.....
  7. Alfa Giulietta
Castrol edge 5w-30 ACEA C3 vs normal selenia 5w-30 ACEA C2 Spec in the manual is C2 so in theory the castrol should be better. What do you guys think? C3 might mean some 2% increase in consumption but i'm more interested in engine life than negligible fuel efficiency improvements.
  8. Alfa Giulietta
Has anyone used this oil in their multiair? It meets ACEA C3 and Fiat 9.55535-S2 which I believe is what the 2010 version of the Multiar needs. I have tried to read the "What oil" threads but they seem to go round in circles so many times my head hurts  Not so sure about using...

  11. Tuning & Upgrades
Hi guys, now I know this will sound a bit odd to those who do not know the beautiful smell of Castrol R but bare with me. Castrol R was the racing engine oil of choice during the 60s, 70s and into the 80s. Anybody who went to bike races or hot rods will know exactly what I am talking about. I...
