Silly question, I've seen people put 2.0 parts, specifically cams and intake manifolds on the 1.6 and getting more power for a relatively low cost. I'm very interested in this for both the performance gain and out of interest in tuning. Having said that I have the 1.6 eco (couldn't find non-eco...
I need some help from those far more knowledgeable than me. I am about to change my cams to some CatCam items and I thought whilst I was there I would install the CatCam vernier pullies. The issue is the new exhaust pulley has no cut outs for the cam sensor to read 😬. Has anyone got experience...
Engine turns over. Bores look good. Head removed for inspection 112mm height so looks to be unskimmed. Oil looks quite clean.

I know that a few 3.0 owners like Corrie and Gertie run GTA1 profiles on both inlet and exhaust sides, and have had good gains.
Are original 3.2 cams a drop-in into the 3.0 motor? What else do I need if I'm just dropping those in on the intake side and moving my 3.0 inlets to the exhaust side...
Anyone know if this is possible ? I can buy a set of cams from an 164 AR01646 engin.

As above, I've compared them out of the car and I think the cam lobe positions don't differ between any of the cams, they're just timed differently. So I don't think there would be an issue....
ETA apart from the cam timing sensor. It's on the exhaust cam. Ergo stupid question.
Like the title says please can someone run me through the advantages of fitting GTA cams to a V6. I've got a stock standard 24valve 3.0 V6 and I'm interested in adding GTA cams for a bit more go. My questions are:
Do I need to replace inlet and exhaust cams with the GTA items or do I only need...
