I notice that the rear Brake callipers have a screwed plate on them which has the Alfa Romeo script on it, does anyone know if you can buy just this metal plate? tia.

Since fitting my new QF wheels to the Giulia I noticed how bad my callipers looked so off they came, stripped and off to the powder coaters I know yellow isn't for everyone but I like it Ned
  3. Alfa Giulietta
Hello everyone, So I have a Giulietta 2017 with the brake callipers painted in red (17" wheels). I already read on this forum that to change for the brembo callipers I need to change to 330mm discs, and a few more parts which makes it expensive and according to what has been written with no big...

What's your opinions guys? I have ordered Red callipers but keep changing my mind. Hoping for a March delivery ?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi! Finding competition brake pads is getting a bit tiresome as many manufacturers / retailers don't specifically list which of their pads fit the Alfa Romeo GTA brake callipers. But the callipers are normal Brembo parts, that use a standard size of pads. (Used in everything from Ferraris to...

Hi all, I'm new to the site but registered as I'm a proud owner of a 159 2.4 jtdm, a friend of mine has just been out in the works car park and passed comment on how close my calliper safe to my wheel spokes, which is hardly anything at all, we're talking a couple of mm? Is this normal, as every...

Argggg, I was all set to rebuild a set of Alfasud front callipers on the Minari this weekend, but have just found a lovely patch of rust on one of the pistons and it's right on the line of where the seal sits. Is there anybody out there who would like to free up a small bit of space in there...

I have a dilema..... What was a quick upgrade from flexi brake hoses to stainless has now turned into a full on brake overhaul.... disks, master cylinder etc etc... Rear brake callipers were replaced a few years ago... I was going to replace the seals on the front callipers but have...

I need to change the front pads on my 2001 Alfa 156 V6. I thought I had a set of pads ready to go, but I'd forgotten there was an issue over which type I needed. I intended to come back to ordering them, but I evidently forgot... So it's too late and dark to go out and start taking things...

Is it possible to use the 166 caliper with a redrilled 159 calliper? As they are 330mm it should be the biggest disc for the price and it is 28mm thick so the calliper won't need widening. Surely this means getting a set of disks drilled then a mount on an adapter plate and it's all bolt on.

Hi to all, Since I bought my 147 I've been annoyed by the state of the callipers (see attached) as they look k**ckered. The brakes function fine except for the rear callipers which have become a little sticky, it involves rocking the car back and forth a few times to get them to loosen. As it's...

Hi guys, just had the GTV MOTd and it has failed on a couple of things:cry::cry: If you have a look at the MOT history of my car, you should be able to see it... Regi is V229FSX and V5C is 30388463456 I normally take my car to CM garage but it is bit far away and feeling lazy after being back...

Hi All, I've got a cheap 1.5 engine going. It's a manual tappet single carb engine removed from my Minari (I'm fitting a 1.7 16v). It'll come with the appropriate inlet manifold, carb, etc. but no distributor or alternator. It was running when removed from the car, however the last time I...

High peeps do any of you know if 2.0 164 callipers will fit a 2.0 147 ???? Reason for asking is I have 2 refurbed 164 callipers in my cupboard and wondered if anyone knew before I take the thing apart. Cheers

Well that's the 156 20v kitted out with 166 four pot Brembos. Only had 25min drive and by end they were considerably better than old brakes and they still have loads of bedding in to do so can only assume they are going to be crazy good... 305 brembo gta discs, 166 callipers, allied Nippon...

Has anyone refurbed their callipers to get rid of the lacquer peel? Mine took a bit of a beating this winter and are in need of something! Just saw this thread and was thinking of doing it after University is finished. Refurbing Your Brembos: For Dummies - SEAT - SEAT Forum

Mechanic just phoned up to say that the front N/S caliper is the seized one... Does that mean it is one of the brembos ? Do I need to get the whole assembly ? Like this one...
  18. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
The brembos lacquers are pealing off and I think they need to be repainted... Any ideas if it would be wise to remove it from the car to paint it because most videos I see involve masking the discs up then paint - not difficult but Tedious! Linky

I recently had my brake pads changed and the garage damaged the paint on the red callipers. They offered to have them resprayed and I agreed. Unfortunately they "could not save" the white Alfa Romeo writing. Not sure what to do now? Does anyone know where I can go to get them restored as they...
