I’ve read all the relevant threads and even called Autolusso today (they don’t do them anymore). Still not sure how to go ahead with this. I’m having new discs and pads (among other things) next week and thought it would be a good idea to also upgrade to braided brake lines at the same time...
Hi folks, had a scare today.
Was driving back from work.
Nearing a T junction, lights turned Amber. Was going a tad bit fast and my front tyres were worn. Stomped on the brake pedal. Brakes bit in, halfway through, suddenly lost all brake pressure and foot went down to the floor.
Take 2 of my brake overhaul is going on today, just wanted to check out one thing.
My new braided lines are plain braided hose, non of the rubber spacers like the originals - Front Brake Hose - Autolusso New Alfa Romeo Parts
Do these need transferring from the original hoses over to the new...
I'm just in the process of renewing all the brake lines and rear calipers on the rear, could anyone answer me a quick question about crushable washers on the braided hose Union ?
Basically I bought the rear HEL braided hoses last year and never really looked at the fittings, they are female to...
I know this is a well answered topic but all the threads were old, so I'm starting a new one.
I'm in search for braided brake lines for my car, and of course I have a twist... Mainly talking about the front lines now. As we know the front line normally is a shorter piece, with female...
what is the forums consensus on best Braided Brake hoses to buy and from where?
HEL, Goodridge, Tarox or somebody else? I don't think Autolusso have anymore of theirs available.
I am sure I have read previous threads of some sets turning up with the wrong connections.
Also is it the same...
I am in the process of filling my basket for a front brake replacement on my Giulietta (Brembo corrosion resistant disks and Brembo pads). I will also replace the brake fluid and flexible brake lines. The disks seem past their wear limit and also seem to have become horribly...
Looked at braided brake hose for 156.
Then looked at custom-made braided brake hose and the options to specify all kinds of connectors. I have no idea which is the correct one. But that is not a big problem as kits should be available with the right connectors.
However, anyone looked at the...
I'm just about to get some from Alfisti. I know I have 330mm brake setup but I'm not sure if I need Varient 2 (710mm length with the line screwed directly into the caliper) or Varient 3 (500mm length with the line connected to the caliper by a "short piece of solid metal".
Is it as simple as...
Hey Guys, just a quick question about braided brake lines...

I Morning Folks!
I am after a bit of assistance after a mini disaster yesterday.
I started the day off excited at the prospect of getting started on the big brake upgrade on my GTV. I thought as part of the upgrade I may as well change the brake lines to nice new Hel braided lines as well.
I ordered four braided stainless steel brake hoses from HEL a few months ago for my 2008 159 Ti. They did not have a specific model option for Ti so no surprise really that the front lines supplied were totally wrong. Wrong length and end fittings. Eventually (and I mean eventually) got two new...
Have noticed lately that my brakes are not what they used to be and after servicing calipers and renewing Brake Discs, pads and new brake fluid have decided that it could only be one other thing as the Slave cylinder is less than 12 months old and the master cylinder is good (Touch wood).
