Is there a science to the selection of a roof box, or is it a case of slapping on anything that will not crush the car and that's fine? In the three (ahem! :o ) years it has taken me to not yet fix the 145, I have been tootling around in a Fiat Stilo JTD 5-door, complete with "World's Best...

My car failed car testing for a blow in exhaust system; had a new stainless custom system put in but the back boxes are way to loud for my liking - I really do want to go back to stock as possible. The noise at the moment really takes from my car. :( The exhaust guys have offered to swap in a...

Anyone got them? The straight through pipes that delete the rear silencers. Are they sporting? Or are they oppressive? I’d like a touch more sound when giving it’s some beans but not a droney cruising sound... something similar to the wife’s standard Mini Cooper s would be ideal.

I've these for sale, one box has a small dent , not done by me ...but still works perfectly, and is hidden once on the car , PM me if interested

Just curious if it can or has been done. My 2.0jtdm just has the single pipe. I was going to go with a stock 2.4 etc twin pipe replacement...for no other reason than that pre cut bit in the bumper right side is pushing my ocd buttons and is screaming or for a pipe ! But (aside from the the...

I've posted a similar post in the East Anglia area, but after a year or more of looking I've seen a 159 Sportwagon with 1.8TBi, sensible mileage etc in Lusso trim on a Private sale. Question is, do I go for it. I've done a quick MOT check but it's got a lot of "done but we can't give you...

Every year we drift off to the mountains of North Wales...and every year I fill the car with an infeasibly colossal amount of crap. I'm thinking of blagging a cheap set of roof bars and a roof box off ver fleabay. Anyone use these things? Are they worth the bother?
  13. The Classic Alfa Romeos
As some may have read on another post, I make replica GTA Fibreglass airboxes just as they used to be in the 60's. They are undrilled, so any size weber/solex/dellorto up to 48mm. can be fitted. If anyone is interested, please send me a mail to: alberto.guirola at An opportunity has...

I have a set of used Prodrive back boxes from my 2.2 Brera for sale in the classifieds. Somehow my photo hasn't uploaded there so until I work out how to upload it again I will put a picture of them here. There were fitted by the previous owner a couple of years ago and are a great improvement...

If anybody is interested I've just uploaded a video on YouTube of my Brera after a Celtic Tuning Remap and with Prodrive rear exhaust sections. A much better sound than the standard setup. With regard to the Celtic Tuning remap I can only say good things. It seems to have really freed up the...

Anyone here tried one of these instead of a re-map? They claim "up to" 40% more power/torque and 20% better economy
  18. Alfa 159, Brera & Spider
Just like to thank Dan and his team for the modification work they carried out on their standard 159 back boxes. The originals proved a little noisy for an old fella like me so silencers had to be designed and installed. Result! There's still a nice burble on tickover and around town (plenty of...
  19. Alfa 147, 156 & GT Can anyone vouch for these? Also, with a 35 bhp increase, would I need to do anything else or will all the other...

I have just found the exhaust back boxes of my old 159 2.2 JTS, they have been in a dry garage so look in decent nick. Make me an offer and if you are able to collect from Nottingham they are yours :)
