I'm new to Brera ownership and the first thing that I need to replace is the upper camber bolt as it has sheared and after some time of struggling to remove the rest of the bolt it looks like i'll take a cutter to it and remove the bush with the bolt stuck inside.
Whilst driving my Alfa and under braking there was a loud clunk. Under further inspection the rear engine mount bolts that hold the mount to the frame have fractured/sheared. This can be seen in the photo. I now need to remove the remaining threaded section from the frame and replace...
I've noticed that I'm missing one of the bolts for the gearbox support. It's one of the ones that screws into the aluminium casting labelled 1b in the image. Where can I possibly source a replacement? The manual suggests it's an M12 but declines to offer any further detail.
So I've been soaking a bolt with WD40 on one of my rear calipers all weekend. The [email protected]@£y bolt just won't shift. Part of the problem is that you can't get a socket or a ring spanner over the head because of a rear suspension arm ?.
It's a 15mm head (or supposed to be) but rust may have reduced...
I need to change my brake pads and rotors, but can't remember what size the two bolts are that hold the rotor in place. I remember it being a 24mm size, but looking at the 24mm sockets it seems way too big.
I know the brake pad caliper uses a hex bolt. I just need the size for the two bolts...
I'm hoping to fit a new ribbed belt crank pulley (TVD) to my 2.0JTDm this weekend...I say hopefully as I was supposed to have the part last Tuesday via a 24 hour courier ....several stroppy emails later and I still don't have it! Anyway....assuming it comes does anybody know the correct torque...
Hi Folks.......I have a problem with the long bolt that holds the rear suspension strut, the bloody thing will not come out, tried hitting it with a lump hammer, got me 900NM impact on it and a breaker bar with a 3 foot pipe attached.
I am worried it might snap, has anyone had similar problems...
Can anyone have a guess to where my engine top mount bolt could be hiding after I dropped it in the engine bay....It didn't hit the floor and I haven't got a clue where it is. It's a v6 so there's not a lot of space for it to be....any ideas.
Just looking at my upper wishbone bolts from the side I would say that they look like about an E18 size torx. Can anyone confirm this? I'm replacing the NS upper wishbone on Friday and just want to make sure that the torx socket I need isn't one of the ones that have gone AWOL over the years...
On my GT JTD I'm looking to replace the turbo banjo bolt with the mesh filter in it i.e. the one that is supposed to replaced every three years? Can someone confirm if it is item 1 on the attached diagram? If it is the parts catalog lists this as part number 46460121. Can I only buy this from a...
Can someone run their Elearn disc and find the torque figures for the 4 torx bolts that secure the front wheel bearing?
Also the torque procedure for the 36mm Axle Nut?
Sorry my disc drive has broken and no access to the info -will be changing the bearings in the morning.
I was swapping the rear shock absorbers on the 147 (1.6TS) and as I was torquing up the long bolt that pins the shock to the bearing the bolt sheared.
Looking online I've found a replacement at the Alfa Workshop, which will cost me £11.40 for the bolt and £3.36 for the nut.
Is there anything...
Well planing on replacing the front shocks.
How ever the suspenion fork bolt that holds the fork in wont turn.
Tried heat, plusgas etc scared to turn it too much in case it snaps..
Soo any idea what the bolt is called so can order replacements if needed to replace them for when they go snap...
Whilst preparing the Spider for its winter sleep, I've noticed I'm missing a cap/cover from one of the locking bolts. Anal I know but its the little things. Anybody got an odd one spare?
Picture was the right way up before the upload.
Hi guys, just joined after owning my GT for 3+ years. My rear caliper pin is seized in the carrier and needs replacing. However I'm struggling to free the lower carrier bolt from the hub.
Due to the 'unique way' inwhich the suspension arm bolts to the hub I can only get an open ended spanner to...
If someone knows this it would be useful so I don't have to take one out to measure.
One of the 156s has worn threads in the captive nuts for anchoring the long subframe bolts above the driveshaft. I'd like to order new nuts to weld in place so I have some cutting and welding to look forward...
Hello on this scorching Sunday afternoon. [emoji274]
Just had the above off the car and refurbished and about to reinstall. Has anyone got access to eLearn and can check the bolt torque requirements for me please?

On taking the rocker cover off to do the cambelt on the TS I noticed clean oil on all but 1 of the bolts which had emulsion on it.
The one in question is the long bolt in the centre of the rocker cover on the timing end.
The oil itself is clean with no emulsion.
