So today I was going to ditch the CDV while changing the box oil however I abandoned the idea as I cannot see how the clutch can be bled afterwards.
On the gearbox the flexi joins a plastic section that then goes in to part on top of the box. There is a bleed nipple with rubber cap on but it...
So - having something of an unusual brake bleeding challenge, I've been unable to find anything similar as yet on the forum or via my old friend google. 96' Spider, with rear compensator (non-arm type) fitted.
Essentially, I removed one of the brake lines from the rear compensator...
The saga continues.
I’ve just had a third go at bleeding these bleeding brakes on my 2008 Brera. Still with no success.
For the second time I’ve bleed the brakes, 4 wheels off, on stands. Bleed the 4 callipers and the junction box fixed to the bulkhead. Brakes good, plenty of resistance...
My Giulia has the black brake calipers which I'd like to get painted, either red or yellow, I'm still undesided, Misano blue with dark Quadrifogio alloys.?
But my question is, can the brakes be bled in the conventional way or does the new brake by wire system prevent this? I've read that people...
Having recently put my Brera on 4 axle stands and bled the brakes, all looked fine until Thevwheelscwere back on and I’d lowered the car and started it up.
I must have had an air lock in the system somewhere because applying the brakes the pedal went straight to the floor. Pump the pedal...
I've changed hoses, pads and discs, rear calipers, and am having trouble bleeding the brakes.
They appear to have bled successfully, ie no air bubbles, all nice clean new fluid, pedal is rock hard without engine running.
But as soon as I start the engine, the pedal goes soft, and eventually...
My 147 is laid up with it's engine in bits. I was thinking that while it's up and waiting this might be a good time to strip the brake calibers and have them power coated.
I'm hesitating because I'm not sure how to get them blead out after i re-fit them.
Can anyone help?
hi all had some work done on the injectors of my 00 156 2.4 jtd (136bhp) and the car was put back together again but would start. kept turning over but wouldnt start was told it was probably an air lock in the system. and because its a common rail engine and runs at very high pressure it cant be...
can anyone help me i have replaced my discs and pads and repainted my calipers ive now put them back on the car and bleed them but i cant get any pressure in one front caliper and one rear caliper at opposite corners of the car , anyone got any ideas what ive done wrong ? its driving me mad ...
Well I successfully replaced the front discs and pads the other day and changed to Black Diamond Drilled & Grooved discs and matching predator pads. When I fitted the new pads, I wound the caliper pistons back in with a large G-clamp, whilst having the brake fluid reservoir cap off and...
Tomorrow im overhauling the braking system on my GT with new Brembo disks, Ferodo DS pads, Autodelta braided hoses all round and ATE blue max fluid.
Any advice or do's and dont's would be gratefully received. Im aware ill need to bleed the clutch at the slave cylinder as well.
159 1.9jtd 16v diesel - started this morning fine - left it 10 mins to defrost , it stopped , left it for 5 mins it ran again for 20 secs and stopped - since then turns over but wont fire.
it only had 15 quid of fuel in it , i have a very steep drive , is it possible its got air in it ?
Guys, the clutch on mine judders a fair bit, not helped by whichever mount is fooked, but the pedal has quite an erratic feel to it, sometimes it feels fine, but others it feels spongy and has a dead-spot / air lock at the bottom of the travel. But Friday, the pedal got stuck at the floor a...
I changed the pads on my X-reg 156 1,8 T-spark this weekend, I had a bit of trouble with the rear near side caliper but eventually got the piston to retract back into the caliper to this I had to remove the caliper... I did the bleed the brakes using the standard method of pumping the...
The tip of it just sheared off as I was trying to bleed the brakes!
I think its tight in and the brakes are firm and there is no visible fluid coming out of the nipple.
Is there any way I can be sure its ok?
I don't have the time to fix it as I HAVE to move house in less than a week and...
Having a bit of clutch trouble and hoping you can help me - I've bled the clutch a few times now and it seems to manage to get some air in again and again.
It's the typical thing - very light for first bit of pedal travel then you can feel the difference at some point on the way...
While replacing the air-con pipes in my 1999 1.8TS, I noticed that the clutch has what looks like a bleed point where the flexi pipe goes into the bell housing.
Couldn,t find a way to open it to bleed the clutch as it seemed to be a single plastic moulding.
Any hints or tips please?
On my 156 gtd 16v I've lost all the fluid in my o/s front n/s rear circuit after a hose went. With new hoses fitted now can't get get all the air out of the system. Does anyone know the correct bleeding sequence and how do you bleed the abs pump?
For future reference (next weekend's reference, to be precise!), how is the clutch bled on a 156?
Does it share its fluid with the braking system? I don't remember seeing a separate reservoir for it anywhere...
I searched on here for help bleeing my brakes, I understand he procedure but the front brakes on my GTV V6 have 2 bleed nipples!? So am i meant to be bleeding them at the same time or what? I bled the back brakes easy enough, but when i got to the front im stuck! Someone told me they...
