Hello, just your thoughts on aftermarket back boxes. Seen a few on ebay made by a company called fastlane, they are £120 so cheap. Really cant stretch to £300 + What is out there that is tried and tested. Would love a ragazzon but pricey. Just want it a bit fruitier. Also is it a chopping...
Hi everyone, we've got another new product ready, this time for the 156 GTA (next few weeks, GT 3.2 will follow). This time we have recreated the original backbox chamber size/volume by getting some custom press-tools machined so we can form end plates in the same weird triangular shape that...
As mentioned for sale is my now taken off and not needed Scorpion exhaust, which has been replaced by a Wizard. I've given it a general clean/wipe, cosmetically as you can see it shows the usual wear from use over time.
Again need to sell it quick to recoup the cost for the the Imola leather...
Hello all,
Just purchased a Giulietta Q.V. and am looking to promote a better exhaust tone because the stock noise is very quiet for a performance car. I don’t want anything too loud as I drive around town and motorway so don’t want a drone at higher revs, just something that comes alive when...
Hello fellow alfisti im looking for a wizard backbox for the mito and my budget is a bit tight for a new one so is anyone selling their used one? If so please let me know
best of luck
Does anyone have a standard exhaust knocking around that they no longer need? I just need the backbox really, it needs to be useable, not blowing/rattling, but I don't mind a bit of surface rust.
I already have a spare 147 GTA backbox & a spare GT 3.2 backbox but neither of them are the same as...
Having replaced my backbox yesterday I now have the original cluttering the place up. It's 14 years/55,000 miles old, the outer skin came away a while ago, and the baffles rattle a bit on a cold start but as the metal expands it quietens down within around a minute. It will need a sleeve as I...
Gents,
My 166 (2005 Twin Spark Ti) failed its MOT this morning on three items:
Exhaust back box leaking
Near side front coil spring snapped
Offside upper ball joint needs replacing
I can source a backbox from AlfaShop or even get a custom stainless steel backbox made, so no problem there...
Has anyone done this yet? I have my car booked in to get the back box removed and replaced with a straight pipe with twin tailpipes. I don't want my car to be to loud and I presume it will be fine as there is the cats and centre boxes which should remove most of the sound
Any opinions greatly...
Anyone after a Wizard Exhausts custom backbox, as I am selling mine?
Only been on the 166 for 4 months...

Hi guys the tip of the backbox on my q2 is loose and is causing a rather annoying sound that resonates through the low revs.
Not sure if there is a way to weld it back on tight or if exhaust gum would fix it?
Finally got round to having a Wizard backbox developed and fitted on my Mito 135 courtesy of Ryan Edwards Exhaust Fabrication (who I believe works with/supplies Auto Lusso). Looks the business and got a lovely sound to it without being so loud it will wake the neighbours and without the expense...
I have a 147 backbox up for grabs. It was sold to me as a GTA part but doesn't fit properly. It fits on the hangers just fine, but the tailpipes out from the backbox are too short to clear the GTA's bumper, which makes me think it's for the smaller bumpered pre-facelift non-GTA models.
I'm...
Hello All...first post here.
Recently bought my first Alfa - 2011 159 2.0JTDm Ti and got the wheels alignment done by Peter @ PCA Dynamics (thanks to the recommendations here) as the front tyre's inner edge were bit worn out.
My annual mileage is around 9-10,000 miles and daily one is just...
Hi Guys,
A long shot here!
If anyone has an old 156 GTA standard backbox lying around that I can have/buy AND/or who's coming to Brooklands tomorrow - anychance you could bring it along to Brooklands tomorrow?
I've been meaning to change the awful Scorpion system on the family GTA Sportwagon...
Hi guys has anyone had this Where the trim that is attached to the tailpipe on the back box becomes loose and causes a raspy rattly sound at arpund 1500rpm?
If so how did you cure it? Is it a case of a new back box or maybe just a different trim? Is is possible to weld it securley maybe?
