I am wanting to replace the AVIC D3 in my 159 (microphone cable snapped, phone doesn't connect properly anyway, don't use sat nav etc etc) and am wondering:
would it be easier if I were to replace with another Pioneer unit? The D3 works through the steering wheel controls so would a new...
I'm hoping someone else here has a similar unit to the one I bought and had fitted a few weeks ago: the Pioneer AVIC-F9770DAB.
I'm pretty sure my query relates to other units in the AVIC range.
Whilst generally very satisfied with the unit and the install, there are a couple of things...
Pioneer AVIC CANBUS adapter cable connection (SOLVED)
EDIT: after tracing the wires and forcing my German on a couple of websites, it seems that I just need to leave everything as it is, right? However, somewhere I read that on one of the connectors I have to switch (or bridge?) pins 4 and 7...
Just removed this from my car as I prefer the orignal stereo, so I have Pioneer AVIC D3 and dash moulding in Dark Grey for Alfa 147 available including the optional bluetooth unit inc all wiring apart from the Mic for the bluetooth. Unit is from around 2007 but have updated map disc to 2012...

I bought a 147 Q2 Sport that has been fitted with a Pioneer AVIC D3 Double Din Sat-Nav. Now I have decided I prefer the look of a standard radio and storage box. Does anyone want to either swap a standard radio/box or buy the pioneer off me?
Looking to install a new GPS/DAB/Bluetooth DD headunit in my 147, and I'm looking at either:
Kenwood DNX 7230DAB
Pioneer AVIC F950DAB
Anyone have any experience of either? Reviews and videos of both are pretty scarce online.. want to make sure I know of any issues beforehand.
My Alfa GT has the factory Bose kit but with a Pioneer AVIC F900BT WITH CANBUS interface adaptor and steering wheel adaptor.
I have noticed that there is a hiss on the audio, especially noticeable when the unit announces something, eg "you are over the speed limit".
Is this normal or...
Not a question but just to let you know my experiences.
I bought a GT Cloverleaf with an AVIC F900BT fitted. First I had to re-fit it as the trim had been hot glued in and the glue had dripped behind the hazard switch and jammed it! Lucky it was hot glue and just came out.
I have an Alfa fitted Pioneer AVIC F910BT headunit installed in my 159 and the Pioneer ipod connector is attached and runs into the glove box. I am finding that the when listening to the ipod, sometimes the right channel is very quiet and a little distorted. The headunit works fine with...
Evening - I want to retro fit the above to my Brera S. Sounds like a good piece of kit but not sure if it will spoil the look of the interior.( presently theres no satnav fitted)
Does anybody have any experience/ advice?
2 years ago I bought the AVIC 910BT for my Brera and for 2 years it worked fine, then a few weeks ago the screen cut off without warning and rebooted some time later. It has now worked in this way for the last few days cutting off at any given time and sometimes staying shut off for 30...

On the spec of these products, where it says 'Expandable - RCA AV Input' does this mean it will take a dvb tuner and display TV?
I ask, as i've had a similar style unit (factory) that display tv and found it very useful as i seem to spend half of my life sat in queues at ferry ports...
As me and my 07 Spider are approaching our first anniversary :inlove:,
I decided to give her some TLC during the Easter break.
First thing was to replace the standard Factory stereo (No B&M or BOSE) with a Pioneer F920BT mainly for the Sat Nav functionality.
Here is the recipe that worked for...
