Just bought a fairly nice GTV V6 916 and am currently trying to get it looking really nice so need some replacement parts, which I am struggling to find:
I cant find the black plastic headlight/engine bay cover - n/s (passenger side) - although there are a few o/s ones available, which is a...
I'm hoping that someone might be able to assist me...
I've got a 2013 Giulietta 2.0JTDM 140.
The car went for MOT yesterday and failed on emissions.
It's since "passed", but I need to get the emissions sorted ASAP, or it will fail again next year and so on.
So I've bought my car already lowered quite substantially. And actually the front looks perfect, but the rear sits way too low and it is uneven (one of the springs is probably shot) causing uneven camber just as well.
I'm about to replace the rear springs but I'm wondering how...
I hope someone can give me some advice here. I have looked for ages but nothing with similar issues.
My 147 will get up to 90 degrees and sit there fine. Then I take it out for a drive and it will begin rising slowly above 90, all the way up to 130, when the max coolant temp light comes...
Because of a small person, I need to carry up to 3 bikes on my G.
I've done a pile of research and concluded that my perfect option is not feasible for current G and next G.
But I thought I'd share my logic below, and perhaps others can add personal experience with the various options below.
Been trying to track this problem down for a while now, there's some sort of fluid dripping from my DC - I don't think it's oil as it "appears" to be clear, but it is oily/greasey to the touch. Anyway after a long drive waiting up a traffic light I noticed a bit what looked like...
Got a really really stuck drain bolt on the LSD I'm busy installing.
Some pics attached.
What i've tried so far:
Q20/ATF to loosen - did nothing
Socket tool that should be able to loosen rounded bolts - this tool gripped it nicely but basically exploded into pieces without moving plug...
Basically I'm a new driver, only been on the road two months and this is my first MOT. I took it to the local Halfords in Hertford.
I did a pre-check with my limited knowledge a week before and replaced a blown rear number plate light.
However today it failed its MOT on the following...
I'm in my 40's and drive a Vauxhall Astra:depressed:
I have had a dream for MANY years of owning an Alfa, but have always been put of by the unreliability scare mongers and cynics. I have a budget of £2000 and have spotted a gorgeous GTV 2.0 Tspark with full service history, 03...
Hi I am looking at getting the giulietta on mobility and am also looking at the volvo v40, I like the look of the giuietta however am not so sure about some reviews I have read regarding how comfortable it is to drive. I would appreciate any advice from those who have got o a gilietta
A) Clutch is heavy to use and loooonger away from me that the rest of the pedals when sitting in traffic, although I think moving my seat forward has cured this.
B) How are people opening the boot lid without getting grimy fingers levering it up at the edges?
C) Its seems overly harsh and...

Just about to drop off my car for gearbox oil change, after spending what felt like an eternity deciding which oil to got I finally opted for what was in the manual i.e. Tutela Zc synth 75. but having recived it, it says its a 75w-80, GL5.
Now im worried 75w-80 isnt enough for high temps!?? And...
I have a chance to pick up some lovely Azev A 18" rims.
However, they are shod with 235 40 18 tyres.
Is this just to big? Car is a TS if that makes a difference.
If someone with experience was able to post up an answer today, bonus points are awarded
So I just brought my car and want to address some niggling stuff before they become problems but want to ensure I am getting the right parts for mine and through scouring this forum and the almighty google I have found myself very confused.
Right so I have a short list of things I...
Hope I can get some advice from the good people on here.
A few days ago, it was torrential rain all day, and my GT developed a problem where even though the passenger door was correctly shut, the car was sensing it as open. This meant that the locks wouldn't engage and the passenger window...

After owning prety shoddy cars i`ve just bought my first Alfa!
I`m over the moon with it, it`s a 147 1.6 TS Lusso 05 with 62 on the clock and the cambelt was done at 52. The chap I bought it from told me everything about it (good and bad) as we have a work connection, last service was...
First off I'll start by apologising as I'm not 100% sure I'm posting in the correct place. I did look at the newbie part but it said no tech stuff.
Anyway. I'm Joanne and I'm very close to joining the alfa club.
I'm going to view 2 147's tomorrow and I'm extremely excited ( I own a focus...
