All - car is a brand new Veloce 280. At very narrow accelerator positions and therefore low revs, particularly when pulling away from stationary - the response can feel a bit hesitant, slightly 'juddery' as if there is a bit of fuel starvation... Has anyone else experienced this or have any...
  2. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
I have recently bought a 2002 Spider with the 2.0 TS engine and everything worked fine until the accelerator pedal stopped working in the middle of traffic. Interestingly, it worked after stopping and starting the engine for a few seconds. The pedal potentiometer was replaced and a mechanic...

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the function of the hole in a plastic piece on the carpet under the gas pedal that clicks when you push the pedal all the way down?

I am currently attempting to replace the accelerator potentiometer and to do this I am trying to remove the accelerator pedal. Could I please have some advice on doing this, currently I am struggling due to not being a contortionist. Does anyone have any advice on the location of the throttle...

Hi all, got the P2135 code showing after my Alfa went into limp home mode going round a roundabout in the freezing conditions a few days ago. From what I can tell this is something to do with the inputs the car is receiving in relation to the accelerator pedal position not being what it...

The Alfetta is in with the tuners and he's mentioned that I might have a piece missing. Currently where the accelerator cable comes out of the bulk head and into the hand pedal (?) it just goes through the hole and is held in place with the a screw nipple. The tuner seems to remember that there...

I have got this funny problem at the moment whereby at speeds greater than 50MPH the car starts vibrating when I have my foot on the accelerator pedal. When I take my foot off, it seems to disappear. Would anybody know what the root cause of this is? Is this a suspension or a drivetrain issue?
  9. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Any one ever experienced this problem? Basically when I drive in any gear for a split second as the revs increase the throttle makes a rattle sound or if i keep my foot lightly on the accelerator it keeps doing it until I press the pedal further then it goes away as if some part of the throttle...
  10. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Hi everyone! Complete newbie here, my name is Tom. Recently sold my JTDm 147 and bought a 2000 TS 2.0 GTV. My main problem at the moment is that the accelerator pedal has play in it, i.e. first inch of movement does nothing. I suspected I wasn't getting full throttle with the pedal on the...
  11. Alfa GTA
147 GTA. I've put up with this for 10 years and I've finally Victor Meldrew'd and had enough. Can I move the accelerator pedal further away from the brake, not interested in heal and toeing my way round the North Circular. Thanks!

So I spent half a day cleaning my beloved and getting in the car today I was treated with the vsc and asr fault and then the check engine light came on, just what I needed on a Monday morning! Set off to work and the car accelerated only when setting off and almost felt like it was driving...
  13. Alfa Giulietta
Hi all, anyone know how to remove the metal part of the accelerator?! The left hand edge of the pedal has a sharp burred edge on it (if you feel the left hand side), this is scratching all my shoes! so I need to remove the pedal and sand/ file it smooth. Earlier pedals you could simply see...
  14. Alfa MiTo
Hi, has anyone here used one of these Novitec GP1 (or similar) accelerator 'boosters'? Wondering if they really make a difference to responce Any info would be great as i have a twinair and am not modding or chipping the engine, but if...

Anyone have any experience of tapping in the cars key code with the accelerator to bypass the immobilizer ? Is it simple and relatively reliable ? Backstory : i have a gtv for parts that i'm hoping to keep mobile,so i can move it out of the way occasionally, perhaps 3-4 times a year.All...
  16. Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Hi, my TS accelerator pedal seems to only travel about 3cm from bottom to top. Obviously the car therefore feels slow. I've checked and applied a small amount of grease the carb end but how on earth do you get to the end under the dash, and how do I tension the cable?

Hi. Looking for a through floor accelerator peddle for my 1972 spider. Not having any luck sourcing one Cheers.

Hi, Just been looking at the car and noticed with ECUScan that the accelerator pedal Track A & track B values are different!!! Can anyone confirm if both track A & B are meant to be the same? If I get a chance I will post a screenshot of the graph showing the split in values! Cheers DC

Anyone know what the pinout used by the accelerator pedal of the 147 gta? The reference is 0280752228 and, in the Audi A3 1.8T, a similar pedal has the next pinout: PIN 1 = 5 volt reference from ECM for G185 PIN 2 = 5 volt reference from ECM for G79 PIN 3 = Sensor GROUND circuit for G79 PIN 4...

My 159 is driving quite well, except for the accelerator lag in automatic mode. Lags quite badly when I least want it too, like intersections ect. Strange thing is the lag is very minimal if I drive it using the paddle shift. Does anyone know why this is? Cheers
