  2. springs quadrifoglio with shock absorbers series giulietta 1.6 JTDM

    Alfa Giulietta
Hello, I have a giulietta 1.6 JTDM 105cv distinctive model. I bought the quadrifoglio giulietta springs and I want to keep the car's standard shock absorbers. Will I have a problem? The reason for changing the springs is to lower the height of the car. Thank you.

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Hi guys, Which shock absorbers and from where to buy for the 159 2.0jtdm ti? I have seen the bilstein b4 from alfisti net. They are at 260pounds for all four. Wouldn't mind a cheaper set... I would like it to be as comfortable as possible as my daughter complains a lot! ? Regards, Angelos
  5. Recommendations for rear shock absorbers

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
For a phase 1 twin spark please. Don’t need to be high performance just good enough for the cars power. An idea of cost to get them fitted would be appreciated too please. I apparently have a slight weeping from the nearside rear shocker. Thanks
  6. Urgent. Two front used Koni shock absorbers needed

    Alfa 145 & 146
Dear all goodmorning. I am in need of 2 used, front Koni yellow shock absorbers, as those already in used gave up the fight against the Greek roads(???) and don't seem to be repairable. I own a 11/1994 1.6 boxer, so i need those specifically for this version. Please if anyone has a pair, at...
  7. Spider on 159 Ti springs and shock absorbers

    Alfa 159, Brera & 946 Spider
Just a thought, would 2011 159 Ti 1750 springs and shock absorber fits a 2007 Brera Spider? I think the weight of the spider can be a problem but would like to seek some answers for the experts. About to put the Spider in storage and will be using the 159 to do very long distances on a less...
  8. Alfa 166 Koni shock absorbers

    Alfa 164 & 166
Hi guys, I have a pair of Koni rear shock absorbers for sale, in used but very good (like new) condition. They were briefly fitted to my father's 166 V6 before being replaced with a full set of different Konis. The eBay advert below contains pics and info...
  9. In need of new shock absorbers

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
My Bella is a 147 diesel pre-facelift, the 16v engine. Currently, I use stock shocks and KW lowering springs which provide -30mm drop, all on 17” wheels. Unfortunately, the ride is very crashy and totally unbearable on uneven surfaces. My front shocks are blown and I need some recommendations...
  10. 2003 156 2.0 SW Shock absorbers

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
One of the Koni FSD shocks on the front is leaking oil after 10 yrs and about 120k klms. I don’t see this model of shock on the Koni site anymore (edited: I didn’t look hard enough), and EB Spares only lists Bilsteins. The FSDs significantly improved the ride over the original equipment. The...
  11. 147 springs-shock absorbers

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Well as it seems it won't be long before I'll have to change springs and shocks in my 147. The car has toora 7,5x17 wheels with 215 45 17 tyres. I think that ti has a different setup than the normal 147, and my cousin's 156 has the sportpack suspension which is very nice in 156 but I don't know...
  12. Alfa Romeo 156 Shock Absorbers For Sale

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hope I'm allowed to post this here, had a look at the terms and conditions of use and can't see no reason why I can't. If so, please remove! I have a set of front and rear shock absorbers for sale which I have just removed from my 156 1.9 JTD. They're KYB Excel G's, I haven't even covered 400...
  13. Bilstein Shock Absorbers

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
I've read loads of confusing threads on this, when running Eibach pro kit springs (-30mm), would I be better with a B6 or B8? Some sway towards the B6, which according to Bilstein are a firm damper, designed for standard springs. Others recommend the B8, apparently the same as the B6 except...
  14. Changing shock absorbers on my GT Q2

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hello guys, I rarely post on this forum because i usually find the answer using the search function. I want to replace the rear dampers and springs in my Alfa GT Q2 version. Accordingly to EPER, the rear damping code is 60688990 (replaced by 50509467). From what I noticed is the same shock...
  15. Do earlier Veloce spec cars have the same shock absorbers as Turismo/Lusso?

    Alfa Giulietta
Can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere, hopefully someone here will know... Would our Giulietta, a 2010 1.4TB Veloce model, have the same shock absorbers as the Lusso or Turismo models of the same age? As far as I'm aware the Veloce sits slightly lower than the other models, using...
  16. Best Springs+Absorbers for the MiTo

    Alfa MiTo
Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade the suspension of my MiTo as it really stars to bother me. I'm running on a 2009 1.4 Tjet (155 hp), upgraded Downpipe & exhaust system, remapped to about ~ 190 hp. Have read online that upgrading this makes the car as a better "whole" and really upgrades the...
  17. Front shock absorbers replacement image of components

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
Hello everyone, I'm in planning right now to replace my front shocks on my 2.0 TS Spider and have seen the great GTV Project thread by Ransoman in the image lounge. Unfortunately it appears photobucket is no longer hosting images free of charge... Does anyone have an image they can post...
  18. 147 rear shock absorbers

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Having a bit of trouble with removing the top bolt in one of the rear shock absorbers, I was able to remove one with just an allen key and swan neck spanner, but the second one won't budge. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove it?
  19. 105 shock absorbers

    The Classic Alfa Romeos
I remember reading somewhere that Koni classic shock absorbers should be set to soft for the rear, cant remember the front setting, I need to Google. However, that got me thinking, if you are going to pay 75 quid each for Koni rears, why not just stick regular shocks on the back and the Koni...
  20. Which GTV Shock Absorbers?

    Alfa GTV & 916 Spider
It's time to revamp my 1998 GTV V6 suspension. My question is what would be best? I don't race it but I do drive (let's call it briskly) from time to time. But I need to consider that I spend some of the time driving country lanes with very uneven roads and pot holes so I don't want the ride to...
