  1. Alfa MiTo
Hi Has anyone swaped 1.6er to a 2.0jtd engine in a mito? Engines are now pretty cheap so amount of work tuning 1.6er to get same figures out of 1.6er is pretty meaningless. Also does 1.6er and 2.0 share the gearbox pattern or does it depend on car model and year? Thanks

We now have in stock glow plugs for the 2.0JTD engine cars (Giulietta / 159 / Brera) and 1.6JTD engine cars (MiTo and Giulietta) £12.43 each inc vat
  3. Alfa Giulietta
Hi all, I have a Giulietta remapped to the safe limit for the clutch and turbo and am looking to move on to stage 2. I am wondering where to look for turbo and clutch upgrades for this car and to hear your opinions on whether it is worth it. I love my Alfa and think it can handle a little more...
  4. Alfa 159, Brera & Spider
Hi all I know there have been a few remap threads but couldn't find what I was after. Essentially I'd like to hear about people who have had the 170bhp 2.0 engine remapped and how the clutch / gearbox holds up. I think my Ti 10 plate has the gearbox from the 2.4 so should be ok? Looking at...
  5. Alfa Giulietta
Picked up my brand new 2.0JTD QV Line a couple of weeks ago in Etna black metallic. Thought I'd just jot down a few lines about my thoughts thus far. Firstly, it's pretty and I love the colour. I like the uConnect, the stereo is decent enough, I like the seats, it's well screwed together and...

I know the service interval for the 170MJ is 21k miles. I also know that the oil change is variable. Ours is now on 16.5k miles, and with us due to go to Italy (via Munich) in about 4 weeks, I was wondering.... 1 I know the oil change is variable and is subject to how many stop/starts, short...

Car tax renewal time and the 1.9 getting a little expensive at £175 a year now, especially when our 3 series owning friends pay a rediculous £30 for a faster and far more economical engine...still i'll never buy one (too common) I see the 2.0 TI is 2 bands cheaper and claims 53mpg combined...i...
  9. Alfa 159, Brera & Spider
Interested to know what gains (and pains) people have had tuning 159 2.0 JTD... My car has done 10K miles and I would like a performance gain and ideally mpg improvement. I am slightly concerned about invalidating Alfa warranty (as car is only 1 year old) and am leaning towards a (easily...
  10. Alfa 159, Brera & Spider
Hi, Is there anyone else out there with the 2.0jtd, it is early days and I expect it to get better (I am only getting an average of about 33mpg at the moment over 800 mainly motorway miles) but I find that its initial acceleration is minimal. I was driving a 2.0 tdci mondeo (albeit a hire car...
  11. Introduce Yourself
Hi All, I have lurked for a while and used to have 2.4 Brera (which was just too small) but have just taken delivery of my new 2.0jtd ti sportswagon. First impressions are very good, I have put 800 miles on it in 5 days and all of them enjoyable, I just wish I could disable the alarm beeps. I...
