Those who read my previous post know that I was v lucky not to have a wreaked engine as a result of my stupidity during my first oil change on my 159 1.8TBi. Well now the turbo went. She had the upgraded feed pipe. The oil, Fuchs, was less than 10k old (and I was about to change it...

Just bought a 2010 SW with 75k. Its first cambelt was at 44k, Feb 2015 by the aforementioned London garage. The cambelt then snapped at 73k in Oct last year, leaving the owner with a massive bill. The repair job was done by the SAME garage as the first change in ’15. When I picked the car...

Just picked up my 3rd Alfa, a re-mapped 159 SW 1.8TBI, and beginning some ‘pre-emptive’ maintenance after reading up on this engine. Changing the banjo on the turbo feeder pipe is a pig – apparently supposed to be a few min job, but just can’t see how to get a socket on there without taking the...

Hi all, I've just bought a 2009 159 1.8TBI with 100k on the clock. This morning on the drive to work it twice briefly flashed up with 'insufficient oil pressure, stop engine' or something along those lines. The oil level was ok, but as I was worried I took it to a local garage who do Alfas...

Hi guys I'm considering buying a rather high mileage cloverleaf G, it's currently on 110k, if this were a diesel I would buy it tomorrow. But as it's the petrol 1.8TBi, I'm a bit hesitant about buying it. What mileage have all you cloverleaf owners racked up? Would you say 110k is a bit too...

Finally got round to seeing my mates Brera Ii yesterday. We met up at a friends house in the Malvern hills for a night out. Checked the Brera over, very smart indeed. Sat nav, special leather, and THAT paintwork. Still can't make my mind up about it. Looks stunning in the steel to be fair, set...

I have just got the latest edition of "feel" and in the letter it says that.. "..recent launch of 2 high performance, ultra efficient engines for the 159, which will also be available shortly in both Brera and Spider". Great news. I would think these engines will increase appeal in both models.

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/general-alfa-discussion/182451-ar-july-price-list-very-interesting.html New July 2009 price list on here. Interestingly the 1.8TBi is not available on the Brera / Spider as of yet. TI looks better specced now aswell.
