Well yesterday I finally bought a 'practical family estate', an Alfa 156 JTD. It was a choice between a high miles A4 or a low miles 156 for the same money. Looked at this one, decided not to buy it as the boot was a bit damp and the temp gauge did not work. Also a slight knock from the front...
Any one know what this is all about......found it on, as ever, Ebay
SPEED & SMOOTHEN UP ALFA ROMEO - 146,156,157,147,GT,145 on eBay, also, How-To Guides, Information Products, Everything Else (end time 17-Feb-08 18:00:38 GMT)
Anyone know when the 157 is actually due to be launched? I've noticed a couple of magazines have been pushing the date further and further back. I've seen all sorts of dates quoted, anything from May 2005 to Early 2006.
Having seen the spy photos (ie. in www.italiaspeed.com), I am afraid that I didnt like it at all.
I sincerely hope that the photos I have seen show just a total mule only for test purposes and not the actual Alfa 157.
Cause if that is the actual shape of the much-expected Alfa 157 then I must...
I post some new pics of Alfa 157 or 158 /I do not know the name/. Look at the dashboard, The display in the middle looks like from Masseratti.
If you want the full set of pictures it can be found here...
Alfa's 156 replacement will get the option of 4wd when it arrives in 2005, to handle more powerful direct injection four and six cylinder engines. Its chassis will underpin the new GTV and Spider and the Z4-baiting Evoluta roadster.
Car July 2003
The new 157 is due out in 2004?
Has anyone got a pic they can post? If things go well next year (£££), I would like to get back into an Alfa, a 157 Sportswagon to be precise, preferably with a stonking diesel.
Somebody get my juices going please. :D
