  1. The Classic Alfa Romeos
Just got my car back from Benalfa (Wiltshire) who have done a very nice job on my 1970 GT Junior. Had sills both sides and driver's side floor replaced. Not cheap but a very professionally done job and I'm very pleased. Excellent people to deal with and I can recommend them.

Hi all Does anyone know if 105 series Alfas have the same pcd (98) as later Fiats and Lancias - will a 105 series alloy fit a 124 Spider? Regards:thumbs:

  4. Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hi everyone, I just registered a couple of minutes ago and I'm already asking for help. I'm sorry for that. :) I own an Alfa Romeo 156 1.9 JTD (2000 - 105hp) and I'm having a strange problem with it. As soon as the engine achieves the optimum run temperature (near 90ºC), it simply stops...

The dynamo on my 67 Duetto has packed up. Voltage meter gives about 3.5v coming off it when the engine is running. Being impecunious, I would like to try and rebuild this myself if at all possible, rather than fork out £100 + postage for an exchange reconditioned unit. Has anyone done this? Are...

Hi there I have just had my first ever alfa! I have had it for 4 days and i absolutely love it, best car I have ever owned. Now the questions start. I have bought a 147 1.6 t-spark lusso on a 51 plate. It has 51k on the clock. Do i have the 105 or the 120bhp model. When i initially start...
  7. The Classic Alfa Romeos
Hi - hoping that someone can assist and apologies for all the questions.... I've been lurking on and off for a while. I think i have just about convinced myself that I would like an Italian classic and it is coming down to either a Lancia Fulvia or a 105 series Alfa. This would be my only car...

  9. The Classic Alfa Romeos
Hi all, After a long day trying to resolve my brake problem I've given up and ''thrown in the towel'' My 1973 GTV has been off the road for 5 years. I've thrown out both servos and the tandem master cylinder and replaced it with one new servo and one new 0.75 master cylinder (girling type) - a...

Hello All, Has anybody ever fitted Spax springs to Giulia 105 ? Part No. is SPX S001021. These rears are apparently meant to be 35mm lower but actually have one more coil than the standard original which makes them longer !????? Also, could anyone point me in the direction of modified...

Put doughnut on this afternoon. Have done this several times before but many years ago. Shouldn’t take long. This new doughnut with the steel band round the outside should make fitting easy! First fit onto the three gearbox bolts, I pushed, shoved and wriggled, would not fit, tapped, would...

Getting spider ready for MOT. While having a good look round I noticed the propshaft doughnut was cracked three quarters of the way through. No problem as have changed several before. Removed old one quickly this morning and new one has just arrived in post. Question. The new one has a steel...

Hi I am re-furbishing my Giulia Coupe seats and was wondering if anybody out there knows whether the Alfetta GTV seat recline assembly is interchangeable with the late Giulia 2000 GTV type of seat (I know of an alfetta seat for sale, and give or take a bit of velour they look very similar!!)...
  19. Introduce Yourself
I have just purchased a very nice 1970 Alfa 1750 GTV that has reproduction GTA 14 inch by 7 inch alloy wheels. I need to replace the existing tyres as as they are too low in profile - 50 and do not fill out the guards as I think tyres on these cars should. Can anyone give me advice on whether...
