Hi guys, For a while now I’ve been having trouble with my indicators intermittently working. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. The flasher relay was not in a great state (picture attached), so I assumed it was that and bought a new electronic one (also pictured). I’ve flipped them...

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and has any fixes. I've been rebuilding the heater in my S2 Kamm tail spider. All the common problems were found (warped plastic valve, flooded motor that has been destroyed, perished rubbers etc.) i've replaced the valve with an...

I remember reading somewhere on this board that Alfa’s always have three things wrong with them and you should careful fixing one thing you know is not that much of an issue as the one that replaces it might be! Anyway, one of my three is my Speedo, I recently replaced the cable and since then...

Hi, Presently the car has a starting issue and we've decided to replace the ignition leads, cap, rotor, condenser, points and coil, (plugs already new) so at least we know that side of it is "as it should be". It'll either cure it or at least take it out the equation. The car doesn't get started...

Hi, I have a alfa 105 series gt junior that has been modified into a fast road spec. I love using this car for road trips and driving days - but having come back from a European trip I would like some more power over the alps. The car currently had an Alfetta 1.8 nord engine with some...

My Spider has blown a baffle somewhere in the exhaust, so I am contemplating putting a new system in. As far as I can see there are three main options: 1, An IMASAF syatem from classic alfa for about £200. I have used IMASAF before on my 166 and 156 cars and they are pretty good (although the...

I'm new here and wish to learn more about the 105 series, saloon and coupes. There appears to be a few options. Can anyone recommend a book, give a book review or point me in the right direction? Thanks Paul.

This is an issue I find after starting the car from cold and has happened since I replaced the clutch and release bearing a few years ago. It sounds like a whirring noise when in neutral or in reverse, but goes away if i pump the clutch pedal. Doesn't happen once the car is warmed up. Any ideas?

My GTV has the original cloth seats that are saggy, faded and squeaky. I would like to restore them with CA vinyl covers but I'm in two minds because: 1. I've heard mixed feelings on the ease of replacing the covers 2. The standard seats don't offer much lateral support for track days 3. Vinyl...

Does anyone else notice that 105 coupe values seem to be, well, a bit all over the place? Across the pond and mainland Europe I've seen some sell anything up to $ 55K. In the UK sometimes they go for up to 50 grand too, such as : Stunning 1973 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV 105 Bertone Giulia 2 Door...

Hi! Does anybody know what’s the diameter or other specs of Giulia handbrake adjuster (star nut)? Does it happen to be same on old Volkswagens? Mine has broke and I think 30€ for a new one is quite steep:grumpy:

I took my 1977 Spider on a Pistonheads run yesterday morning. I was driving with Toyota MR2s, Westfields, Lotus 7s, Vauxhall VRX etc (it was a light rwd car club). I must say that I expected the Spider to get into a tangle if pushed too hard trying to keep up, what with it's 40+ year old...
