I am still trying to work out how long is "long enough" to wait between cholesterol tests..... Like SiF, my mild chest aches have been deemed to be non cardiac related so cheerier on that front but cholesterol is still a concern My new dietary habits of no red meat and mostly veggie, combined...

At the moment in our kitchen/diner we have 1 TV, 1 Apple TV box and 1 Sky Q Mini box. We have a remote control that comes with the TV and is used only to turn the TV on and adjust the TV volume. We have an Apple TV remote that only does Apple TV (unsurprisingly), and we have a Sky remote for...

It's called Motherland apparently. Worth a squint (possibly need to have your testosterone dialed down to low) but if you have (or recently had) school aged kids then you can relate

I found that Friday Night Dinner ran out of steam a bit for me after series 1 Agree that Jim/Wilson are comedy gold though I did enjoy the 1 or 2 episodes I saw of Mum - but I lost it on the schedules and ended up seeing the same couple of episodes a couple of times. Was it a longer run? It...

I used Waze all through France last Summer on my phone. Data Roaming in France on Vodafone just uses my UK plan. On the Audi I connect my iPhone to the USB port with the standard Apple cable and the dashboard monitor turns into my iPhone display for all my iPhone apps (or at least the ones that...

Bottom, The Young Ones, Monty Python.... All "of a time" and don't bear too much scrutiny today. When I was a nipper, my Dad would wax lyrical about The Goon Show. I remember him playing my brother and I episodes on an Akai reel-to-reel that we had at the time (one for the teenagers!) - and I...

I'm not sure what Bazza's definition is. I think for me, "cringe comedy" is the likes of Ali G/Borat where only some are in on the joke - I never got that from T'Office where everyone was part of the same setup. Man Down is neither of those formats anyway. Pure Sit Com IMHO

I like the idea of Spaced, but a bit like Corden I feel quite allergic to Simon Pegg. Which is odd - because I love Shaun of the Dead, but made the mistake of reading his autobiography (bored, on holiday, was in the rented villa's bookshelf) and realised he's a [email protected] I've therefore avoided Spaced...

Talking of Greg Davies - Has anyone mentioned Man Down yet? I loved it. Got quiet hooked on the opening credits/music too! Very catchy

Or "practical 7 seater" as some of us refer to them as - and indeed need.

I've got a wife, 4 kids and a dog. I have 3 cars. One is not in the least bit practical - but the other 2 are an Audi A4 estate and a LR Disco Sport. When we all go out together at the weekend I can only take the Disco with 2 in the front, 3 in the back, 1 in the 3rd row and the dog in the...

My wife's Discovery (6 months old) - is rarely without a TPMS warning light on the dashboard for all 4 wheels (it is smart enough to tell you which wheels it is worried about - unlike my Audi that just shows a TPMS warning and let's you play a game of 'guess the wheel' ). It's at the...

I loved both Lamar and Amstell's (quite different) Buzzcocks. Good shout those. And I couldn't agree more about Gavin/Stacey/Corden. I have simply never understood what was to like about Gavin & Stacey. Tried watching it a few times - but nada. I recall that after the original G&S run - Corden...

Agree on Saxondale. And Frasier. With Frasier there was a period towards the end when the writing in it was absolutely perfectly honed. I think I would struggle to think of any TV Panel shows you haven't already mentioned - but have you listened to Radio 4s "Sorry I haven't a Clue?". Not sure i...

Don't like the sound of "very tough" !! - Can you flag down the train and get on it halfway up? And by "flag down" I mean lay on the tracks.... and by halfway I mean just outside the car park.

I rather hope we have to do a (little) bit of this. I need it to be sufficiently different from a walk round Richmond Park to make it sound like we "did" something - but not so different that I end up in A&E

We will be strolling up the Llanberis trail. Driving over Friday - staying in a B&B Friday night (few pints) - walking up (and down) on Saturday followed by dinner and a few pints Saturday night and home on Sunday. Crib Goch sounds a little out of my league..... :-0
