  2. Intermittent central locking and front electric window problem

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Hey all, having a strange issue with my central locking.Fuse is fine, also gave it a dose of switch cleaner to get the surface crud off it.The fuse socket shows between 10 and 12 volts.Driver side control unit should be getting power also as the rear windows still function. I'm only an armchair cobbler really.Modern laces are quite strong,it's often the aglet or flugelbinder that goes first taking the lace with it.I'd be looking for receipts to see when they were last changed.Hope this helps..

There's a special cleaner for maf sensors I've seen my mechanic use I wouldn't go near it if there is nothing wrong with it.I used some fairly expensive switch cleaner on my lambda connectors before, and it destroyed them. They don't like it apparently.I did coax a dying maf back to life with...

  13. Dedication doesn't always pay off

    Alfa 164 & 166
Hi Dave, rotten luck there.I know one chap in Meath might be able to sort you out for a boot and bumper, and a body work specialist in my neck of the woods(Wicklow, probably not much use to you,but he is very good)to spray it.If it were me I'd price the whole thing up myself and take it from there...

G Techniq P1 is excellent. It's around €35 over here for 500ml but hopefully you'll only be using it once. It's a proper polish so will level it all out but isn't as destructive as cheap stuff like T-Cut.You can use it with a machine polisher safely or by hand if that makes you nervous! Gtechniq...
