    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
My setup is Eibach sportline lowering springs and koni str.t shocks, all components are present. I took a picture of the left side outer boot, you can observe that there is no significant stretch but there is rubbing marks between the folds(appear darker). My suspicion is that at high speed...

  9. Lowering springs and CV boots

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
It's the inner one as well. I saw the angle of the axle when the car is at it ride height and it's pretty extreme, looks like the boot is rubbing itself between the creases and then fail (that's my speculation). I have used different types of cv boots, maybe you could recommend a specific type...
  10. Lowering springs and CV boots

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Thanks for the reply mate. The problem is not with the clamps, the problem is that the axle angle is to extreme and the boot is tearing apart because of this and let all the grease out, and then there is to much friction and harsh vibrations.

  14. Fitting 166 hubs on 156 in order to change PCD

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
Thanks for your reply. I don't mind replacing the axles as I need to replace one anyway. So I understand that beside the axles, hubs and brake discs I wouldn't need any other parts right? Is this something I can do at home or that I need special tools?

    Alfa 147, 156 & GT
