      As Maplin has now bit the dust and i'm no electrical expert, could anyone tell me if these parts off ebay would do the job.

      Actually I didn't realise AWG measurements made the wire thicker as the number gets lower, so I could change the above from AWG 12 to AWG 10 for less resistance couldn't I?
