Hi Guys just a word of warning I have just received a NIP from a cam on the M6 between Jct 8-6 current speed limit 50, they must of just switched them on as I travel this way home from work everyday.

TBH I don't normally go above 55(clocked at 62) through that section due to the traffic, but it was a Saturday evening no traffic , from now on cruise control set at 49mph.

The cameras on that section are Average speed cameras........and they are on 24/7. Check the NIP, it should say "Average Speed of 62Mph between camera XX and camera XX"
They start just north of Junction 5 upto the end of junction 8 (RAC building)

I never run the risk nowadays on there .

My Licence is now clean again after a DD ban and various speeding and other endorsements

Be careful also southbound around jct 10 non roadworks
I been traveling this stretch for years, and for the first time I seen one of the cameras above the signs flash someone and there was no restrictions in place.

Seems to me, if unmarked random police vehicles or transit vans on bridges was not enough, there now switching on cameras willy nilly to try and cash in on a little extra revenue.

Wonder how broke this country would be if nobody smoked, drank or sped?

I've just had some fun thru this section

Cruising in the fast lane @50mph with the rest of the traffic , there's someone behind flashing me to move over , pet hate of mine

So I just wave at him thru the back window ..He starts gesturing to me so I carry on waving

I then go past the 50 sign and opoint at it

He then pulls up along side threatning to 'pop a cap in my ass' which just made me laugh and point at him , He then started to throw things at us so my lad gave him the middle finger as he was giving out gun to the head signs .

As we neared Spaghetti We just pointed at and laughed some more as he pulled off onto spaghetti

I think we wound him up more by waving ,pointing and laughing .
