As promised folks the event of the year is posted

Please read the Itnerary and follow the instructions carefully as we want this one to run as smooth as possible for maximum Alfa enjoyment

Itinerary

Monkeyfest address is:
Elm Barn,
Stoke Golding Lane,
Higham on the Hill,
Nuneaton,
Warwickshire
CV13 6ES

This is a private event for Alfa Romeo/camping enthusiasts with live music and a barbeque, it is a no frills affair with portaloos in a field on our land.

We are looking to get approximately 35-40 Alfas assembled at one end of the field with additional parking provision for non Alfas in the next field but registering the first 35-40 Alfas for the Alfa parking area is our priority. There will be no model snobbery* so first 35-40 Alfas to register are in however the alternative parking is only on the otherside of the fence.
*Unless someone has an 8C!

Please only RSVP yes if you are sure you are going to attend as places are limited, once you have been confirmed you must PM SpiderMonkey your name, email address, how many in your party, any dogs, car model/make/age and whether you will be camping and if so tent size (this is important) once these have been received full details and a screen number will be sent back to you via email, so please read these carefully as they are also important.

We are happy for you to bring well behaved and under control dogs, absolutely no 'sheep worriers' these dogs are your resposibility and will not be able to roam the farm as the farmer next door has a shotgun and he does use it regularly!

There are several B&B's in the local area if you don't fancy camping, the best one is directly next door ( the farmer with the shotgun) and the details will be sent with the information sheet.

The local council envirornmental health officer has been very generous with allowing us to host this event however the starting of fires or use of fireworks/chinese lanterns is strictly forbidden apart from a maximum or 3 controlled fires in fireboxes which will be lit by the landowner.

Live music will start at around 7pm with a special appearance from the AlfaOwner band! and some local more established acts, however the local council has requested loud/live music ceases at 10:30pm ish.
If you are a decent warbler then PM Gaz to see if you can get a slot on stage...... go on it's worth a try!

The Gates to Monkeyfest 2011 will open at 2:30pm on Sunday the 29th May 2011

In advance of your arrival you must print the screen number supplied and clearly display this in your screen, each number will be checked off against our attendees list, you will then be shown to the relevant parking area by volunteer marshals.

Please do not encourage others to attend at any point if they do not have a number as this will only cause you, them and us embarrassment so thank you for your co-operation.

The tent area will be pointed out once you have parked and we suggest you get pitched as soon as possible so as not to struggle in the dark after you have imbibed alcohol.
Please do not leave anything of value in your tent if it is unsupervised.

Please note the minimum attendance age for this party has to be over 21.

We look forward to meeting you all.
Dave AKA THE Spider Monkey

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Dave called me yesterday to advise you all that the main event parking is full, so if you are one of the 40 lucky posters that have RSVP'd yes, your name is now on the list to park in the main arena.

There are still spaces left in the camping area if you wish to attend but you will have to park in the overflow (Other marques) Carpark.

Please if you are not sure if you can definitely attend change your RSVP to NO and give another AO'er a chance to park in the main arena.

Stay Safe
Tony

Its mostly classic rock with a couple of indie choons and some fairly popular, light metal choons. I'll have fed you enough wodka by the time we're playing for you to even care mate
