Another recommendation for A1 wheels here. A while ago I had a car that failed it's MOT due to a buckled wheel. Garage told me it wasn't possible to fix. In desperation I tried these guys and they sorted it completely. The guy at The MOT centre refused to believe it was the same wheel!

Saw a set of before/after wheels on an Integrale and was blown away at the finish.

I'm with Evel - Lap-Tab did a fine job on the 19" black Brera wheel I kerbed. I've done another two since then, so waiting until I can get a discount on refurbing a set of four.

City Powder Coaters do powdercaoting of wheels at £20 a time, £30 if you need the tyre removing and re-fitting.

City Powder Coaters Ltd. Birmingham. 0121 448 7646.

Just had a set done and very happy with the finish for the price

Also used A1 and whilst a not exactly pretty premises the quality is excellent - they alos do a while you wait service if you have not got a spare set of rims

ive used the manchester branch of http://thewheelspecialist.co.uk numerous times always a top job, and they have a branch in the midlands as well, think lap tab is the same company as these, just had a look at the smart wheels web site and there wheels are cured with infrared, the wheel specialist do a full strip in acid etc and they are cured in a proper oven..

A1 do a lot of the specialist tricky jobs, like the polished, diamond cut and so on. I know that the garages that do top marques take their wheels there. I can't recommend them highly enough - always done a fantastic job on even the crumbiest of wheels. They do the whole wheel, not just the outside face.

Try citypowdercoaters.co.uk

I used them for my GTV wheels. An amazing £20 a corner inc vat!

The finish is great (except the odd slight imperfection). You'd have to look damn close to separtate the finish from brand new wheels.
